Shade

I find no hope in life
I find no love in hope
There is but an empty wasteland 
Where soul should be
Anger darkens the halls of my mind
Only to be drowned by the flood of sorrow
Loss
There is nothing for me here
There is not
But shadows
In my heart
Once I knew love
But love turned to pain
To anguish
To loss
I am lost
Without a finding
Pained
Without a relief
Hungered
With no hope of ever finding sustenance
I know not hope
I know not happiness
All I know is breaking
Crushing
Bitterness
Lost
Alone
Fading

Monumentum

This is actually a song I wrote. I know this site is supposed to be for poetry but I felt compelled to share it with you all. You'll see that part of it is the same as one of my other poems, that poem inspired this song.

To many times
In to many places
Memories combine
With to many faces

There was a time
When I was young
And everything
Was beautiful
Now it feels
Like I've lived
A thousand years
Those memories
Are gone
I have loved
A thousand lives
And lost
A thousand more
I have lived
With an empty heart
The enemy once more
Memories
From the days of old
Corrupt my very dreams
The things I've done
And things I've lost
Are memories obscene
My thoughts have turned
To darkness now
The light begins to fade
The things that haunt
My very dreams
The world has turned away
Cuz there are

To many times
In to many places
Where memories combine
With to many faces

Blood has been
Lost from me
I've numbed
My very soul
Theres nothing here
But my own pain
The shadows
Carry on
I've cursed the name
Of the one above
Was brought down
To my knees
Where darkness fell
I was reborn
A savage
Hate indeed
I brought myself
Up off the ground
And tried to carry on
But everything
Tries to pull me down
Back upon the ground

The memories
Are growing dim
The truth
Becomes obscured
When nothing
Holds it close
To heart
It is replaced by fear
Theres pain
In even the smallest tear
When love is never shown
In darkness grows
The saddest light
Of heartbreak still held dear
Sometimes it feels
Like its taking hold
And death is looming near
When there is nothing
In this world
That you still hold dear
What is this feeling
Deep inside
That brings itself to light
This emptiness
Inside my heart
Will bring
Misery and strife
And there are

To many times

Many people
Go through their lives
Not knowing
What it means
To be loved
To be cared for.
I know how it feels
I have scars
Inside and out
That speak
Of this knowledge
If you ask
I will speak
If you need me
I will be there
I care even though
Its hard to sometimes

I never have been loved

Ship In the Ocean of Emotion

In truth I know
So little of you
Yet I wish I knew you better
I feel rushed in the epitome
Of crushing emotion
I want so badly
To laugh with you
Sit with you
Be with you
Hold you
As a friend
Or more
Whatever you so chose
I do not know
How I can feel such a way
Without really knowing you
I hope to one day
Be the anchor
That keeps you in calm waters
And holds you in heart

In darkness comes a flowing feeling
Of deep regret and pain
Its gentle touch
Like winters rose
Does break me down again
I know nothing
Of love
Or happiness
I know nothing
Of winters end
Until now
With you warm glow
You melt the world
From within
I know so little of you
Yet I know that you are here
Within my heart
Within my soul
A truth
That comes within
What is this stunning feeling
Of warmth
And strength
And life
That comes to me
When I speak to you
And everything is right
I know that however
This brightness goes
To more than love
And more than friends
Or to a companion
Through lifes end

darkness confines me
becomes me
i am but a shadow
lost in my own
darkened world
searching
for what i do not know
a family i never had?
a love i never knew?
peace from the chaos of this world?
abandoned by those who claimed to love me
never truly knew what love was
never really shown what love was
emotions are lost to me
hardened beyond truth

emptiness is my salvation
yet emptiness is my destruction
i dont feel
until pain

To try to make you happy
