Carla Cox Poem
A heart full
of love,
She freely gives,
There's no charge.
A listening ear,
while she dries,
all of your tears,
no charge.
Your cuts, and scrapes,
she patches up,
no charge.
She cooks, and cleans,
without complaint,
no charge.
She's a special lady,
like no other,
and for being,
your Mother,
there's no charge.

Carla Cox Poem
The hands of time,
stand still,
for no one.
Every minute,
that goes,
tick-tock,
is a life
written page.
As we idle,
throughout
the days,
There's no rewind,
nor pause,
For the clock,
of life,
must go forth,
on it's path,
as time,
plays on.

Carla Cox Poem
When we were little,
we played together.
Then as we grew older,
there were times,
we laughed together.
Even when
we had to cross,
the saddest, and hardest,
times in our lives,
we cried together.
Sometimes,
not knowing,
the right words
to say for comfort,
so we just
gave our love,
by simply being there.
These are the moments,
which will forever remain
in my heart.
As I remember,
my sister, my friend.

Carla Cox Poem
If by chance,
someday we meet,
upon a crowded street.
I’d like to
shake the hand,
of the soldier,
who fought the war,
on terror.
I’d like to shake
your hand,
for the bravery,
you’ve shown
time, and time again.
Who throughout
the endless nights,
prayed silently
for home.
With no regard to
their own feelings,
out of love,
they put our Country first,
to protect, and serve,
the land of freedom,
we call home.

Carla Cox Poem
I think,
I shall never see
by far,
a truer love,
than yours.
I think,
there is by far,
no greater man,
to have walked
this Earth,
with Angel wings,
than you.
I think,
I shall never feel
by far,
more blessed,
than the day,
I opened the door,
to my heart,
and there,
you walked thru.

Carla Cox Poem
Sometimes,
It takes a storm,
And the pouring rain.
Before,
You can see blue sky.
Sometimes,
It takes heartache,
And the pain,
Of a broken heart,
Before you're able,
To find love.
Sometimes,
You'll cry,
A river of tears,
But it will cleanse your soul,
And sometimes,
You'll stumble, and fall,
Before you see,
There is light,
In the end.

Carla Cox Poem
This passion
is flowing,
like a river
raging.
Igniting
the flame,
and fanning
the fire,
of our desires.
As our bodies,
and souls,
come together
as one,
we'll soar,
to the heavens,
while reaching
total bliss,
as we surrender,
to sweet ecstasy.

Carla Cox Poem
Sometimes you wait,
all your life,
for that special someone.
To blind to see,
I loved you unconditionally.
My hearts not a trinket,
for you to collect,
and show.
To blind to see,
what you're doing,
to me.
You'll never change,
with your controlling ways,
I see that now,
As I walk away.
It's sad to say,
you were
to blind to see,
I'll love you,
throughout eternity.

Carla Cox Poem
She looks at his face,
and wonders,
if it will be, the last time,
then she remembers.
He see's the pain,
within her eyes,
as she tries to hide it,
with a smile.
He to remembers,
so long ago.
Their first kiss,
laughing and holding hands.
They always thought, they
would have
more tomorrows,
that somehow, time
would stop for them,
while they stayed young forever.
He tells her, it's all right to sleep,
he will always be here with her.
As he softly kisses her, one last time,
he feels her final breathe leave her,
and he knows, the door to their love,
is closed forever, into eternity.

Carla Cox Poem
It was just a clear spring morning,
when I awoke.
I ran to my window, and looked
upon the tree, and
there was a bluebird, staring at me.
As fast as I could, I ran for the tree,
but when I got there, he'd climbed,
higher from me.
I climbed to the top, so careful,
and slow.
There we both sat, neither daring to move.
I looked at him, yet he wouldn't at me.
As I reached for him, he was further away.
A tear rolled down my cheek,
for the bluebird I'd wanted,
had tried to fly.
It broke my heart, for when
I looked down,
There lay my pretty Bluebird,
silent upon the cool ground.
