Forever Love

She looks at his face,
and wonders,
if it will be, the last time,
then she remembers.
He see's the pain,
within her eyes,
as she tries to hide it,
with a smile.
He to remembers,
so long ago.
Their first kiss,
laughing and holding hands.
They always thought, they
would have
more tomorrows,
that somehow, time
would stop for them,
while they stayed young forever.
He tells her, it's all right to sleep,
he will always be here with her.
As he softly kisses her, one last time,
he feels her final breathe leave her,
and he knows, the door to their love,
is closed forever, into eternity.
