The Lady In Black

Smoke comes off the chimney tops
Trails behind the breeze as the rain drops
Hurdles under the clouds to seek shelter
Disappears in the vapor of a darkest winter

Snapped under my coat I ran to shelter
My steps tracing the trail of glass
Sweat dripped down my palms elevated
I lift my knees and walk agitated

Took a second to notice, a scarf hanging
Neck loose, head bottled, scalp dangling
Cold breath sneaked up and down my neck
As the lady grasped sight of her final dread

My gaze slid under her skirt
Her undone hair and bloody shirt
All climbed to intertwine juxtaposed above
Merciless, spineless, slithering gloves

Ice-clawed eyes stared back in horror
Hands clenched in fists flagrant in color
Put a finger on his lips and whispered
A tone that struck my nerves unhindered

Speak a word and you're next
Don't put my patience to the test
Walk away, disappear, 'cause if I find you
You'll pray that god take you before I do

I couldn't hesitate twice abt walking
Suddenly, he cringed and started falling
Branches broke as his neck followed behind
Snapping backwards, dispersing his spine

I slowly walked over and found a note
To whom it may concern, sloppy hands wrote
I am but a victim, of this woman's throat
the day she stabbed me, the day she spoke

I'm but a lonely spirit roaming free
Why has this lady followed me
To murder all that I loved and once cared for
To sweep off the little things I'd die for

She was Lady Death, the one we all fear
Seductively laying us to eternal rest
Drove me to heaven, doors slid clear
Her arms wide open, her warm loving chest

Then to hell I went for my earthly deeds
The torture I've seen for all those years
And you're next in a line of slaves
A queue of misery, a farm of graves

Your eyes have seen a deadly charm
Life as you know it is far long gone
Prepare for a sinfully long run
Here she comes, load your gun

Lullaby of the Night Crescent

Hold my hands and sing me to sleep

Before the dreams sink too deep

Through the night walk me to the shore

To a land where greetings are peaceful snores

Let the moon talk about the day

Let it tell off our journey to the bay

Let the stars carry me with the morning breeze

Back to the fields, the empty willow trees

Let the wintersun embrace the darkness in my head

Let it lift my soul from beneath the bed

Down the beach and on the shore

On the clouds with worries no more

Free of speech, my mind sinks to sleep

Free of love my heart trembles to keep

Free of fear, my shudders float astray

Free of noises my ears chase away

To safety to nothing make me see

To claim a state I may never be

Take me to the old willow tree

Where the white snow buried me

Empire of the Rising Sun

Leaking sides of a filth I abandoned

Sheathing myself to my fortress garrisoned

Waste snaking through what's left of my good will

On and off I rode away from the wasteland off the distant hill

Encountering the ghosts of the past whispers

Devouring my thoughts my head dazed in whimper

A shield broken a sword untamed

Halos smothered and bloody fingers to blame

Hurricanes swept the grasslands clean

Storms stripping the seas of rough and lean

Waves hurrying to escape the fury of the dark night sky

To whom it may be, the ones screaming to die

Blazing fires putting ashes to the ground

The traces of disaster slaving the uncrowned

Shadows of the graves greeted the living with open arms

The cries of fear echoed the heavens with crimson scars

To whom will you run? To whom will you plead?

When the sky burns red and the kings turn to flee

To whom will it matter, whether you live to see another day

To whom will it stain, the end of a million hearts beating astray

Hail of ember melts away your eyes and ears

Your fate manifests the monster you've dreaded and feared

Glory will claw the spines of lands filled with the martyrs' blood

No escaping the howls of an outcast howling through the moonless flood

The withering final moments, savoring the jolly stride

Rode the sheathing swords that flew the banners of pride

Gliding on skulls of their fallen ones

Swore to retake the Empire of the Rising Sun

The Lionness

She swoops forward with presence
Sidestepping only to amaze
Her smile, an eclipse of dominance
Beneath a shade of luminous grace

A many songs I've written
Depicting this sting I feel
But none will come close to capture
The way she makes my senses peel

I gather my remains, split them
She feels no sorrow, all but purity of heart
her skin redeems my shadows
and into warmth the day starts

A woman can tangle your veins
dance with your blood
I still let her in, my atrocity begins
But my sin compels me to drought the flood

My mind drifts to a dream I've seen
When her face lit my mind free
Nights before when sleep disturbed
The inner images of her sweetness berserk

She sat and pat my head
Waves of solid white comfort
Slowly showered my dripping back

And all the sweat resonated with sweet scent
And all the nights rained with bliss
And all my lanterns torched in flames
Melted sugar breath to my lips

"Honey I'm here now rest easy
Let it all go when our eyes fly away
Tomorrow I'm here too so don't you worry
Hate when you're eyes take a shade of blurry"

Who Knows

Long have I known this vessel
These arms extended
This vision unhindered
Long have I waited for an answer
The questions arise
Slithering like cancer
Long have I seen the horizon
The lightness it lays
The darkness it buries

Forever is a never I refuse
In the back of my head
Hanging on loose threads

I refuse to believe, what isn't there
I'm meant for greatness
I'm not meant for despair
I refuse to look at my palms
Strong, yet empty
Youthful, yet bare

And the morning greets me again
With hopes of persistence
But who am I to force myself
Resistance is my indifference

Another empty hand strikes the hour
And I lay still and ponder
Is it the half filled glass I see
Or the half empty, I wonder

Chapter Zero

Embrace me
When the world forgets
When the clouds drift by, unnoticed

Embrace me
Like the gentle breeze raging on
A starlit, night sky, an illusion
passing me by untethered

Embrace me while you can
While the sun rises and sets
While roses shed their skin
Above the eyeless shores withered

Grab strong, unto the torn hilts
They stride right by me blind
Hold firm while you still can
There is no telling where we set land

Before the rain dries
Until we lay restless
While you can
While you still can, embrace me

Celestial Being

Beyond all there is a light that shines
A spark far out in the horizon
A wave of peaceful stillness
Stuck in it's own contraption

Meditating a world beneath my feet
A dark ancient wisdom subsides
The very steps of natural laws
The possible outcomes defined

Seeking the traces to the origins
From which this black hole arises
To take all that nurtures the dark
The cold return of reprisal

Recenter the cosmos to align
With which all rises from the ashes
Matter leaves what matters not
Matter shan't kill what matters not

Centrifugal speeds, collisions
Intergalactic gruesome opposition
Hollow and empty this star sways
Sways from an abandoned airspace

Matter leaves what matters not
Matter shan't kill what matters not

Folded

Wish I had half a brain
Bricks to fill the void in my head
Wrinkled and stained
Intelligence is but a soul beheaded

Big words were never an attribute
Amassing descriptions to loneliness
Why can't we just call it solitude
Synonyms alongside this dark fortress

Half wits aren't so bad
Rest assured your worries diminish
Analysis a loyal companion
To every syllable I intend to finish
