Chapter Zero

Embrace me
When the world forgets
When the clouds drift by, unnoticed

Embrace me
Like the gentle breeze raging on
A starlit, night sky, an illusion
passing me by untethered

Embrace me while you can
While the sun rises and sets
While roses shed their skin
Above the eyeless shores withered

Grab strong, unto the torn hilts
They stride right by me blind
Hold firm while you still can
There is no telling where we set land

Before the rain dries
Until we lay restless
While you can
While you still can, embrace me
