Two Old Friends Together Again

The gentleman stood by the golden gates, patiently watching in wait.
He walked from side to side, all the while, looking out the golden gate.
Suddenly smile crosses his face, as he sees his old friend coming his way.
Seeing his friend, after all this time, meant more than he could even say.

They had been friends on earth, for years and years, through good time and bad,
And he was the first to admit, there was no better friend that could ever be had.
They have a mutual respect that is so rare in the world, as we know it today.
With each trusting the other with his life at the end of the most trying day.

And for as precious as this friendship was when formed on the earth, long ago,
These two old friends will never have to say good-bye again, this they now know.
Heaven is now the home that they will share now and forever a day.
With an eternity of time, to enjoy this friendship, come what may!

Koa-Wally

A sweet little face, almost cherub-like, so round,
Soft and furry, with eyes so very warm and brown.
Bubbly little fella that makes you just want to cuddle,
Yet he just wants to sit in his tree, not be any trouble.

He just hangs around, chomping eucalyptus leaves,
Just trying to stay out of sight, high up in the trees.
His chatter is rarely heard, he is really very quiet,
Unless he gets excited, then he can cause a riot.

His little nose, is black and shiny, almost like leather
His ears wide and flat, and hold his head together.
He waddles when he walks, his little body jiggles.
And when he gets excited, his ears begin to wiggle.

There is no cuter fella, in all the animal world by far
With young and old alike, he is a bright and shiny star!
If you ever have the chance to spend some time with him,
You are in the presence of one of natures precious gems!
