The Time Has Gone

Joshua Quinton was born on April 12th and he was taken from us on the 4th of
June.
We knew he was going to be taken, but why did it have to be so soon?
Maybe it was meant to be that he be taken away,
But every moment spent with him is in our memories to stay.
He was strong enough to make it 7 weeks,
He made it so everyone could kiss his cheeks.
We held him and loved him everyday.
On his 4th day home we knew it was time for him to go away.
We tryed to be strong and tryed not to cry.
For onhis 5th day home he was gone and we barely got to say good-bye.
Our hearts are crushed, but we will try to make it through.
For we love him a lot, but there was nothing we could do.
He will always be in our hearts and in our prayer.
We know he will be watching us from up there.
We will think of him all the time.
For he is our one of a kind.

My Nephew

Joshua Mason, my nephew, was born with OI and he is still here.
When he was born things weren't good and my eyes were full of tears.
So far he has made it 3 weeks and one day,
I know he is really strong and he will make it all the way.
He is still at Children's Mercy so I don't see him as much as I want to,
I wish I could see him everyday, but it is just too hard to do.
When I see him I don't get to hold him like I wish,
But it makes me happy when I talk to him and I give him a kiss.
When he was almost 2 weeks old he smiled when I read him a book.
Oh how I will remember that cute little look.
I hope he gets to come home within the next few weeks,
So I can hold him and play with his chubby little cheeks.
When I am not with him I hope he knows that I love him,
And that I am always thinking of him and praying for him.
When I can I will hold him and let him see,
How much he really means to me.

My Memories and Thoughts

I cryed the moment I first saw my nephew.
I new he was in pain, but I tried to be strong for you.
He was cute, but he looked in a lot of pain.
Just looking at him made me want to go insane.
I remember when I first looked in his eyes.
And I remember all of his cries.

I remember him holding my finger, his eyes so small,
He looked at me and I felt it all.
I felt all the love and I felt the sorrow.
I new there was hope, atleast 'til tomorrow.
Then things got worse, and I began to fear.
That soon he would not be so near.

He slowly passed away.
I didn't have time to say all I needed to say.
I didn't get to tell him how much he meant to me.
Or show him all the things he needed to see.
Everyday I see his face and feel his love.
I see him looking down from above.

He tells me he loves me every night.
And how he can see the beautiful light.
He tells me he loves his mom and dad,
And he says he misses them and he knows they're sad.
He loves his sister and brother, too.
And he knows you are being strong, he's so proud of you.
