Little Wishes

Little wishes on great big stars.
Daughter, I make a wishes for you.
Keep on growing and keep on smiling.
And I'll keep loving all that you do.

Little dreamers wishing big things.
The world is your stage to display.
You can sing and you can dance.
Enjoy all that comes your way.

Little hopes in a great big world.
Nothing can stop your free spirit.
Make some noise, play a beat.
It's beautiful music when I hear it.

Little kisses from my now big girl,
You're growing up so fast it seems.
Pretty soon you'll leave the nest
And fly after all of your dreams.

Little girl I love you,
And I love you even more.
Because I made a wish once,
And you're what I wished for.

Tell It To the Rain

Like the cloud, I am collecting the moisture in memory,
Soaking up the solitude, I have been alone in misery.
Feeling full on failure, droplet wall builds on my skin,
Heavy with weight of the world, sadness is soaked in.

Like the cloud, I feel the lightening pulsing inside,
Anger and agony on a bolt of energy ride.
Thunder is my roar, ominous warnings shy
to the volcanic eruption that is my sky.

Like the cloud, I hear the air slice apart in broken fear,
And I collect all things wet and drip them in a tear.
Upon the world I release all my anxiety and pain,
Captured inside capsules, I tell it to the rain.

Like the cloud, I pour my soul from the height of hurt,
And you wear my teardrops there, saturated white t-shirt.
Parachute promises falling, raindrops from the cloud.
You hold no umbrella because crying is not allowed.

Rainbow In My World Today

There is a rainbow in my world today,
With every word your write my way.
Colors of emotions flow in harmony,
as they spread across the sky in unity.
Wrap me in your red, orange and blue,
fill me with the violet passion of you.
You make the sky shine after that rain,
softly your soul pushes away the pain.
In every luxurious line that you say,
you are the rainbow in my world today.

A Beautiful Day

Bright eyes,
blue skies,
it's a beautiful day!

"Let's go, Mama!" her cheer,
down the tall slide, no fear.
Twisting, bumping, "this is fun"
one more bend then it's done.
from the bottom goofy laughter.
One more go, another after.

"Come on, Mama!" she tugs
off to the swings after hugs.
back and forth, smiles soar
keep on going, swing some more!
Chain rattles with gaining speed,
she kicks her legs with excited need.
"Look at me Mama, I'm going high!
Look Mama, look Mama, I caught the sky!"

"There Mama, let's play in the sand"
off the swing in a quick demand.
Castle made with stick flags on top,
another bucket and we don't stop.
Laying back she buries her toes
and wiggles when sand gets in her nose.
Shake it off she says "I'm hungry"
it's time for a picnic, her and me.

Days like this, so fun and sweet.
Mama and daughter, summer heat.
True smiles of discovery
always to be cherished... my girl and me.

Blue skies,
Bright eyes,
it's a beautiful day!

Death To the Mockingbird

Death to the mockingbird with one shot to the heart,
Crushing wings with desperation sings sorrow worlds apart.
Concrete tears from wasted eyes fall on a mossy burial ground,
Taste the regret as it is yet to expel a gasping sound.
And rise oh symphonic sun in my mourning put rest to the moon,
Dehydrate this skin from deep within that I may die at noon.
Searching for stars to blanket this despairs shroud of living,
Pinpricks of celestial poison judgmental eyes are giving.
Blood upon my hands stains jealousy in deep wrinkled crease,
Saliva soiled dirt leaves an after taste that will never cease.

Breaking the joints of folded frozen wings opening like a book,
Laid before the novel ends I search for the heart that I took.
Oh mockingbird you brought this battle a war I inhale victory,
Would the devil rise with golden stained eyes celebrating with me.
With weighted flesh, holding her heart, he examines my deed,
Silently I beg come with me, success demands fulfilling my greed.

The devil he does make his choice, strong cradled hands receive
Welcoming the mockingbird, even in death does she deceive.
Breathing to life from lips I longed to love, the mockingbird awakes,
Flapping wings, resentment it stings, the ground under me shakes.

The mockingbird laughs for she mocks me no longer,
She has taken everything from me, and now she is stronger.

Second Chance

Here we are again in the center of the desert
Don't know how we came to know a second chance
drowning in a drought of inspiration
thirsty still we both know that we can dance

timid and a tiny bit off of balance
my hands are shaking, heart is heavy beating
I look into the endless sky of your eyes
here and now there is no more retreating

Sands of time are shifting all around us
shards of absence seem to disappear
possibilities are promises in the breeze
and i'm complete now that you're here

You're the water to sate my starving senses
The master of mirage, you take me home
The desert is not as desolate at it used to be
now that I know I am not alone

Here are again in a second chance of romance
and the sands sing a slow song as we dance

Listen

Hear the screams in the night, they are shattering
moonlight breaking, reverberating, splattering
Down the hall, she feels so small, cradled by the dark
blood red like roses are finger petaled swelled slap marks
Makeup smears with tears like a clown in a funhouse mirror
With a voice of a mouse in a barefoot house, no one hears her
Body is sore she explores all the aching joints and pain
replaying the nightmare she steers through the shame
And the stories of "if only's" are jokers justifications
A marionette that never forgets the devils grin
This endless circle like the phases of the showoff moon
comes the ride of the tide the anger drowns her too soon
Licking wounds she is a submissive to the open hand
convincing her legs she is too weak to ever self stand
But she whispers "heaven help me" as closes her swollen eyes
raw throat choked she prays to God to let her die

Hear the prayers in the night, they are streaming
shackle freeing, hope believing, promise keeping

Just listen.

You Want Emotion

You want emotion...
Tell me, ask me, beg me to show you my soul, my secret place where my muses dwell.
My living hell. The tainted sea of all me, so what...so you can wash in the river of my insanity...well since you asked so nicely...and that smile curves that caress of your cheek so sweet and meekly...I will give you me and my intensity.

I love with the obsession of a thousand serial killers, desire is my thrillers, I feed off the energy of lust. I must drink from the fountain of youth, stroke my ego with pens of golden words, I must be heard. I am beyond the yearn, beyond the turn of the keys, I am the door waiting to be opened once more. My tears keep my hinges from hardening. My scars are the bars on my window pane. I am a home again, safe in the comfort of curiosity, I watch like a cat on the sill, waiting for a kill, begging for a thrill.
A slave to the satisfaction of onlookers reaction. I am the one that dresses out of style to evoke a smile...leather, pearls, and lace, I am out of time and space, until I become the thought that from you mind you will never be able to erase. You see me looking at you when your eyes close. Your mind knows there is no possibility, but that shiver in your heart, you think you feel me. I get my kicks on watching you do tricks, and I yearn so badly that it burns me madly, I must have your attention.

You want emotion...
There is jealousy constantly stabbing at my soul. There is one that would make me whole, make my universe complete, like a halloween treat he is the caramel topping to my apple on a stick. Ripe fruit on the branches, he would be my pick. With a thousand starlight wishes I wish for his kisses. Every moment denied of a love extraordinary. He is not with me. Every moment, jealousy seeps inside, I cannot hide the hurt in my eyes. Mention his name and my heart weeps, I keep his photograph under my pillow where the river of tears flow. One day, I beg the God's, the stars, the heavens to help me from this hell and carry me well to the keep of my soul. Until then, my body winces at the pain of kisses not meant for forever but under the lever of golden circles. Jealousy every moment he is not with me.

You want emotion...
Anger...I hold the handle of the sword. I poured my desire on the steel with fire so real it burns with the touch. So much anger...directed...injected..targets selected, social media infected lies. Hypocrites, I spit hatred on their ignorance. Idiots. Ill-informed normality, makes the anger rise in me. Whoever thought interactions created decency, don't think your posts don't affect me. I vomit on the thoughts of mediocrity, anger at stupidity...but still I take the bait and master it skillfully.

You want emotion...
I spew happiness like rain from clouds, making rainbows in the sun. Begging someone to soak in my colors, smile at others. Hopeful the clouds part and the heart of humanity is reached, well speeched and teached in the only thing that matters and that is love. Happiness dipped in painted perfection of life. Kaleidoscope harmony, conception of reception the birth of brilliance, color burst and shed on a bed of green grasses, tall trees and dirty knees.

Emotion, yes there is emotion spilling from the strawberry kissed stitches that hold the stained skin of my existence. I come with scars of battles, raped by the blade and broken by the mirror glass. Survival instincts born from the industrial jungle I once roamed. I am home to the vial stench of the city. I am a conduit for creativity. I breathe energy. Do you see, there is not a singular emotion in me...
anger, lust, love, jealousy, rage, depression, obsession...happiness. A love for the emotions that color my rainbow, I grow in the storms and I flourish in the deserts.
A collection of emotions like knots in my headboard. I have stored them in my memories to spill them on paper like a communal disease...are you pleased?

You wanted emotion...there is no turning back now my love.

Whisper Sweet Nothings

Nothing is like riding this tornado,
wild and twisting, away that we go.
Oh, it is so magical, this adventure,
whipping around, an enchanted blur,
we are more than a mere whisper.

Sensations are the fireworks scream,
wide awake, blasting off into this dream,
this is crazy, this is that in love feeling,
heart racing while kiss stealing,
Super glue sealing, broken heart healing.

This is sweet like cinnamon and honey.
Trip and fall on funny bone funny,
yeah this is what happiness brings,
the sound that only a cuckoo bird sings,
love is more that whispered sweet nothings.

Nothing is like this wild ride,
nothing is like this full blown fire inside.
