Little Wishes

Little wishes on great big stars.
Daughter, I make a wishes for you.
Keep on growing and keep on smiling.
And I'll keep loving all that you do.

Little dreamers wishing big things.
The world is your stage to display.
You can sing and you can dance.
Enjoy all that comes your way.

Little hopes in a great big world.
Nothing can stop your free spirit.
Make some noise, play a beat.
It's beautiful music when I hear it.

Little kisses from my now big girl,
You're growing up so fast it seems.
Pretty soon you'll leave the nest
And fly after all of your dreams.

Little girl I love you,
And I love you even more.
Because I made a wish once,
And you're what I wished for.

Hi Casarah, thought I would visit your first poem and 'read' my way up:) This is so lovely. I know of your 'lyrical talent' and your 'mommy' talent in this and the others I 've read is extraordinary. The emotion expressed is far reaching and everlasting. This is one of those poems to be remembered..a gift from you and most worthy of honours..penned by a beautiful heart:) lynnxx off to the 'darker' side of your poetry now..you are after all, a multi-faceted, multi-talented woman and mother:)

Casarah, I just had to come and see the poem of yours that made the BIGGEST splash! I have seen you write much deeper and better than this, but I know why this got the most hits. It's just super sweet and people love sentimental poetry. Maybe it got put onto a sister site for mother/daughter poetry? People love that kind of stuff. Congrats on your MOST VIEWED POEM.

Casarah, this poem's appeal and message are universal; what you have written is in the heart of devoted mothers (especially mothers) worldwide. From the title to the last line, I find the poem enchanting. Excellent, commendable work!

Casarah, as a parent, this poem touched me deeply. How blessed your daughter is to have such a mother. The last stanza is one reason why I keep a box of tissues on my desk. Beautiful composition!
