Grace Waters Poem
There was a boy I once talked to
He was tall and brooding and wise
He had no home or direction
And my soul I could see in his eyes
In the darkness our secrets we shared.
Even then I found it hard to say how much I cared.
He kissed me soft and he kissed me slow
It took all my strength to say no
He held me close he held me strong
And my heart was his before long
He is far away and much time has passed
But still I think about him, I wonder why it didn’t last
