Devin Fernandez Poem
Unlike wind takes to sails, the old door is closed eternally
A disgraced paint fade lie upon rusted hinges
As the grass grows over time, lengthening so free
a path which held on civilization, now disappears into creation
fake colors of green blend against the grain of grass
without windows warm sunlight makes to envelope the house, reflection is
starved away
surrounding the door innocently, to an off white escape
filled with cracks upon no effort to fix
what has once entered this door will never return
the mysterious lock is never locked
the weathered attitude and displacement keeps the door close
whether the entrance leave forever to never enter again
or inside still lie the never to leave

Devin Fernandez Poem
Slow decay of physical appearance
once in life was warm
now lives a life of endless storm
loss of the skin, and soul of existence
wind runs away with sediment
outlasting, the bone takes apart time
another life of loss joins the rest
weathered and chipped, bone against bone
everything turns grey, an immortal way
nobody to talk to, no way to say
which built the wood pierces the grain with toothless jaws
different shades of white and grey turn completely black
a holocaust among men from a pulled trigger
once attacked by the mirror figure
recorded in point blank scripture
