Window of the Soul

My mind exposed completely to your expression,
Mindful of spirit, transparent you carry,
Your light follows, drawing me to a freedom
That brings a smile to the window of my soul.

Continuously unfolding God’s will freely moves
And as it echoes into an extension of radiance,
Just as the butterfly glides through the air,
Your touch moves smoothly in me.

Completeness of change grace freely gives,
Exploding in brilliance, feeling his touch
Aligned in His will and joined as one
Connected in spirit and connected to you.

Fullness of love rooted inside
Submersed in the sea, this cup overflows
Your light can be seen drawing me to
The freedom that opens the window of my soul.

Until She Believes

Mindless in her darkness, shadows in the way;
lonely and hollow pain fills her brown eyes.
Tears flow freely down her face,
 the perfect mask of an empty disguise.

Fear will not leave, it covers her;
doubt spills into the corners of a shattered mind.
Confusion becomes a symbol of life
that drives her further and further away.

Will there be peace for you today?
Rejection is on the plate.
Like a high wall dependant on deceit,
broken pieces of pottery scattered at your feet.

Heartache and anger pushed deep down inside;
bitter water rises, apprehending this mind.
Holding unforgiveness, betrayal unwinds;
consuming the shackles of bondage and shame.
Walking down this road, she is desperate to believe.
Unable to see, fear has a hold and it will not leave.

Will there be peace for you today?
Rejection is on her plate.
The walls grow taller, depending on her.
Pieces lay scattered, broken at her feet.

Searching for answers and unable to think;
weary in life’s struggles, unable to feel.
Broken and unworthy, shattered with no mercy;
unable to listen, unable to see.
Until she believes, fear will not leave.
Until she believes, forgiveness can’t be seen.

So, will there be peace for you today?
Rejection is served, but it’s not too late.
Will you listen, will you listen to me?
The day you believe, you’ll be healed and set free.

Heart of Love

I did not see, I chose not to
My sins you bore for me
You carried me, grief and sorrow,
Crushed for my iniquities.
I turned away, life led me astray
My Lord, My Savior, You took it all
Because you love, I live
Your grace it covers me.

And because I believe, I see
The wonders of your love.
And because you love, I live,
Your grace it covers me.
My faith, your grace,
It brings me back to you Lord
The well that draws the water,
Your firmly planted seed.

Because I believe, I see
The wonders of your love.
And to those who choose to see
Your grace it covers all.
And because you love, I live
This love, it covers me.
Your grace, your love
Yes, it covers me.
