Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
It’s like you’re
in a game of
love, a game I
can’t take part
I’d play the
role of Robin Hood
trying to steal
your heart
The game
you’re in it had
you trapped within
its dungeon cell
A barren
place, with
many guards
I rode into this hell
I aimed my
arrows at the
guards striking
them with force
Then grabbed you
in the nick of
time and rode off
on my horse
We rode
all night, made
our escape and
got back safe and
sound
A ceremony
then ensued
which brought
out all the town
At the coronation
happened what I
always dreamed
I became the
king of all the
land and You
became my queen
After all is
said and done
we’d sit side
by side
And rule
forever King
and Queen
together you
and I

Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
Here in violence and in beauty, living under the same moon
The beauty is so ancient, but the present violence here consumes
On one hand Afghanistan is all that it appears
Insurgents here are so deadly; through the land they spread fear
But a turn of that coin, would reveal a much different side
A land which contested the Great Alexander, and ruled by Shahs with pride
With its mighty Hindu Kush, and many rivers at hand
The graveyard of countless empires, its resistance that spans
The brave here fight hard, a fierce gamble, with their inheritance of wealth
Battling the Taliban with an opulence of old grit, using the hands they were dealt
Keeping Kandahar, Herat, Mazar-i Sharif, and the capital -Kabul
Free from tyrannical domination, oppressed by Taliban rule
I’m in awe of these courageous Afghans, this country has come far
This is the Afghanistan which I see, who else will share where they are?
This poem was inspired by "Under The Same Moon" a three way collaboration by Poet Destroyer A, Chris D.Aechtner, and NIKKO P..

Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
I found your eyes so randomly,
your face did not exist
No waist to place my arms around,
no lips for me to kiss
No hair to lose my fingers in,
nor ear to whisper sweet
No one to hide within my heart,
to fall in love so deep
Your image I saw by happenstance,
a beautiful vision to see
You held me there with just a look,
as you stared back at me
Your eyes, those lips, that lovely face,
my feelings are all for not
For you are more than a world away,
my beauty from Herat
Herat (Herr-Rot) is both an Afghan city and province. Herat City is the capital
of Herat Province located in the western portion of Afghanistan.

Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
Let destruction
fall on me,
all around my
feet
Watching bad
days beat the
good, when all
the bad days
cheat
I’ll stand
there smiling in
the face, of a
raging storm so
near
I’d watch
the sun drop
from the sky,
without the
slightest fear
For with
you dear so
close to me,
my days are
always good
The sun
couldn’t fall,
it’d shine in
place, as it
always should
The storm
would weaken
the closer it
got, no damage
done at all
So as
long as you
stay close
to me, then let
destruction fall

Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
Can I be
your eternal
love, and be
the one who’s
there
To hold
you tightly
in my arms,
the one who’ll
always care
Can I be
the one
to whisper
sweet things
in your ear
Things so
sweet and
passionate,
romantically
sincere
And let
me be your
teddy bear just
squeeze me
close to you
And all
those dark
and lonely nights
you’ll easily get
through
Or let
me be your
very heart and
all your pain
I’ll shove
I’ll keep
the pain away
while being,
the holder of
your love
Can I be
your shooting
star, just make
a wish on
me
Your every
wish I’ll grant
to you, and all
that your eyes
see
Can I be
your morning
dew that wakes
you from your
sleep
With a
heavenly smell
that’s so divine
and a taste that’s
ever sweet
Or can
I be your
sunny days
that fills your
life with light
Or your
evening moon
that’ll set the
mood for a romantic
moonlit night
Please let
me be your
rainbow long,
colors of every
kind
And at
the end of
my rainbow,
my love is what
you’ll find
Can I be
your seasons
four that come
throughout
the year
Like Winter,
Spring, Summer
and Fall my
love is always
here
And can
I be your
paradise, your
special heavenly
place
A place
where you
would stay
forever and I’d
ever see your face
Or can
I be your
sweetest dream
a dream that’ll
make you smile
A dream
that’d make
you want to
sleep and dream
for quite a while
Or let
me be your
happiness which
I want you to
have
And if
you stay with
me my love
you’re on the
perfect path
Please let
me be your
simple laugh
your freshly fallen
snow
I want to
be your favorite
color, your
favorite star that
glows
I want to
be your every
breath, that
warm place in
your heart
I want to
be locked on
to you and
never break
apart
Dear let
me be your
happy times
I’ll fight with all
the sad
We’ll laugh
our way through
all the good, I’ll
hold you through
the bad
And let
me be your
deepest want,
the one thing
you desire
The thing
that causes
your soul to sing
and lights your
heart on fire
Please let
me be your
happy song,
your warm and
gentle breeze
The song
would soothe
your heart, while wind,
blew throughout
the trees
Or can
I be your
evening dusk
to you is how
it’s drawn
Your beauty
goes deep into
the night and
out it comes as
dawn
Can I be
your eternal
love and be
the one who’s
there
To hold
you tightly
in my arms
the one who’ll
always care
I want
to be your
everything for
that you are to
me
Your only
one, your
only love, my
darling can I
be

Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
Still I dream of you and I,
within my mind at night
And I Still want you in my arms,
embrace you ever tight
Your eyes lay deep within my heart,
they Still have their effect
I Still remember your lovely face,
your beauty I can’t forget
I find it hard to let you go,
so Still my heart holds on
And Still my heart will be with you,
until all things are gone
I realize Still I can’t deny,
I do and always will
Have care for you, deep in my heart,
I love you ever Still

Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
The crickets
filled the air
one night, with
subtle chirping
beats
The moon
and stars set
up to shine,
as they take
their seats
The wind
has settled down
to sing the
songs it’s tucked
away
They sound
like graceful
symphonies an
orchestra would
play
But if
my mind
were on those
things, my heart
it never knew
For it
simply ignored
those sounds
and thought of
only you
My heart
you see, it
dedicates some
time for you
each day
To think
about your
loveliness, keep
other thoughts
bay
Most times
you are the
reason why I’m
in that happy
mood
That special
place I spoke
about, what
joy you do
include
You fill
me full of
happiness, a
feeling that never
parts
You have
that pure
divinity, to
cure my aching
heart
You are
the one I’ve
longed for
and dreamed
about at night
The one
that’s made
my darkest days
clear and full
of light
You stir
me in a
potent love, a
love so ever
new
And now
I want to
spend forever…
eternally with
you

Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
Engulfed by all my
thoughts of you,
My mind remained
in constant bliss,
But very soon it
thought it through,
And realized who
my heart had missed
You are the epitome
of loveliness,
You personify all of
beauty's sweet,
And not to mention
your tenderness,
And all the divinity
your body keeps
You paint me full
with passion red,
And other colors
brightly new,
Like golden grace and
whitening wed,
But never colored
sadden blue
So hold my heart
and you will be,
Amazed at all its
beauty through,
But I am sure that
you will see,
The heart you hold
is really you

Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
My dreams of us is all I have, uncertain if ever the day
For us together seems so remote, with you so far away
I fear our love may never see, the rising of the sun
Our chances seem so awful slim and falling close to none
My want and desire to be with you stays heavy on my mind
And ways our heart can join in love, I desperately search to find
But maybe the love which live in us, will never be what it seems
Perhaps we’re destined to be in love, but only in my dreams

Marquis Mc Mills-Cooper Poem
I need you
just because
my life seems
full when you’re
around
My days are
filled with light,
your image owns
my nights
My life is
full, more like
complete, for you
have filled my
void
My empty pain
replaced,
You’ve filled that
empty space
I think about you
just because
you flood my
thoughts with
joy
I think about
your face,
Your eyes, your
smile, your grace
These imageries
and thoughts of you
expand throughout
my mind
My mind’s opened
its gates,
You’ve conquered
my mental state
I love you
just because
you’ve drawn the
love out from
my heart
Affection felt by
me,
Is yours for you
to see
A world of
love is not
enough for me
to give to
you
It never is
nor was,
All simply
just because
