Bonnie Ries Poem
I'm watching the clock as it ticks away
Not sleepy at all as I await a new day
Maybe it's time to enjoy a sunrise
Listen to the earth as it comes alive
Will sleep come tomorrow, not really sure
and the midnight hour I must endure
Sleeplessness sleeplessness is there a cure?
Maybe a pill but I'm not really sure
Maybe it's God wanting some time with me
too busy at times to spend time with Thee
Not sleepy at all I began to ask questions
Better than sleep I'm enjoying our session
Time for forgiveness, the wrongs I have done
sunrise sunrise taking time with this one
I'm thankful this night as I stayed wide awake
Realizing this sleeplessness was for my own sake
