The Angel of Death

Im my deepest slumber
I saw the Angel of Death
He passed over me to another
I couldn't draw a single breath

The flash of the flaming sword
I feel the earth rumble
He pulled a single cord
I saw the earth crumble

The piercing cries
The deathly screams
Announce the rise
Of the one who haunts my dreams

You offered your life for mine
You gave me your heat
In a light so divine
He teared it apart

Reality

In the midst of strife
Our hearts are strained
In the worst of this life
Our strength is drained

How do we know?
How do we care?
How do we sink so low
When perfection seems so rare?

We live every day
We cry every night
In fear we lay
The darkest of nights
We try to keep at bay

The soulful cries
The sound of pain
The soul-less lies
In the cover of rain

The trampled cry out for mercy
The broken cry to be heard
Still we don't see
While others are burned

Missing You

When I think about the pain I have been through
I realize what I am without you
When i see the sky turning grey
I tend to run away
I try to hide the pain
But then it begins to rain
When I hear the thunder
I begin to wonder
Why my heart starts pounding
I feel like I'm allowing
My soul to slowly die
While here I lie
Awake at night
Wishing with all my might
I could change everything that should have been
But I have yet to forget the sin
I commited the day i lost you

A Cry of the Depressed

Can you hear me?
Do I have a voice?
Can you see me?
Everyone has a choice.
Is anyone there?
Above or below?
Do you really care?
Or do you go with the flow?
I spend my mornings weeping.
I spend my nights silently crying.
With the secrets I am keeping
To myself I am lying.
I appear to be happy.
While always fighting.
You tell me I'm sappy
But seriously, lose the lighting.
It is how I hide how I truly feel
The feeling don't always leave
To my knees I will keel.
Until I can truly believe.
The way I see me is not true.
The way I feel about me is not real.
All I need is you.
And to you I shall appeal.
