Snowpacalypse 2012

The hills are getting slippery in Seattle
News blares “Snowmageddon stay inside!”
People lined up galore at their favorite grocery store
Stalking up on snow gear and supplies

Its pandemonium all around
There’s no one to be found
The whole city shuts down
OMG its snow!

And sidewalks filled with slush
To our feet we’re yelling “Mush!”
But it doesn’t help us much
As down we go

The cars with 4 wheel drive
Spinning out in a nosedive
are just trying to survive
this whiteout rodeo

School gets canceled for the day
The parents yell “No Way!”
But the kids all sing “Hooray!”
“We love the snow!”

And they all fill up the streets
Hurling snowballs made of sleet
making snowman by the fleet
getting soaked from head to toe

The hills are getting slippery in Seattle
The cars are playing pinball by the lot
People tripping, slipping, falling on their keisters
From the 2 inches of snow that we got

Calm After Storm

Capacious, my heart
brimming fervid with emotion
voluminous as the sea

Waves of passion pitching turmoil
in tumultuous storm
launching forward in acrimony

Torn is my emotion
as the torrid winds are blowing
which way am I going?
ever ebbing and flowing
until once again
even and calm

Sound of surf overlapping
white froth on sand slapping
low tide uncovers me

Serial Evil Perpetuated

BENEVOLENT HIS CHARMS
PROMISING NO HARM
SEARCHING FOR HIS LAMB
DEATH IN HIS GRIPPING KISS

SLANDERER OF SOULS
SCYTHE AT HIS SIDE
REAPING WHAT IS YET TO BE SOWN
DRAGGING IT DOWN INTO ABYSS

BEATTY EYES LIKE BLACK POOLS
HIS SMILE ENSNARES
THE OMEN OF EVIL
HUNTING HIS PREY

LURED INTO THE GRAVE
A BECKONING CONCLAVE
MURDEROUS IN ARDOR
SUMPTUOUS ETERNITY

Virulent Garden

red rose of rage
indigenous to the past
suffocating progress

May your thorns wither
and your petals wilt

seeds of weary disquiet
sprouting deception and chaos
with diverging agitation

I pray the ground be barren
on which you were spilt

Binding vines of poison ivy
perversely overpowering
asphyxiating roots of renewal

let your growth be stunted
prune back your aberration

Parasite that is jealousy
diseasing with discontent
and stinging bite of disillusion

your plague be eradicated
succumb to extermination

And me in my dappled shade
catching flashes of sunlight
unthawing my frost bitten heart

blossoming cultivation of love
Flourish in perennial season

Serendipity

I remembered him from a chance encounter, a long time ago
Facebook was the re-uniting force
His success, his heartbreak, his frustration, I watched his life unfold
Throughout time and circumstance, my own life ebbed and flowed
I wanted to get to know him again, as I read the stories he told

We always seemed to have someone, but they were hit and miss
I felt our lives in parallel, but could never imagine this
I took a chance and changed it all, and he responded in kind
My heart bounded from my chest as I first heard his voice on the line

His passion, his intelligence, his creativity, it took my breath away
And then he decided to catch a flight, and come out to see me
I knew the moment I saw him again, he was THE ONE, I fell instantly
Woozy with anticipation, What if he didn’t feel the same?
My heard and been broken so many times, was this all in vain?
I felt it from his first touch, the same feeling of chemistry, undeniable from that first day

His visit with me was amazing, filled with romance, passion and humor
But as he boarded the gate to his plane, I wondered how we could have a future
My eyes blinding stung with tears, I thought this was the end
I fell into despair and depression, as reality set back in
Would I ever see him again? The truth was I didn’t think so
He had no plans to move out here, but I still couldn’t let him go.

As the weeks unfolded there became a change,
Everything happened quickly, life was rearranged
He left his job, his world behind and came to stay
Life hit us with many storms, and it was never easy
We became inseparable despite of everything

Call it God, call it fate, call it serendipity
From the time I first met him that fateful night
I got of glimpse of what my future would be
My last name is Tingle now
He made me his wife

Love Described

As if painted by Monet
Love delicate and soft
Soaring upon angel wings

I found my heaven in you

Your words evoking lyrics
Tempering my tormented soul
Soothing sweet symphony

Emotion pure and true

Awakened less my agony
A thunderbolt to the heart
Sparks of passion set ablaze

Searing fire, flames of blue

Craving for caress
Overwhelming all five senses
Temptatious are your kisses

Like the sirens of the sea

Absolute devotion
Undertaker of imperfection
I dance with exaltation

As your arms envelope me

The quintessence of man
Vindicated from past sin
Vanishing all fears

My one and only

Pseudo Love

lurid spindle of life
spawning threads of fairy tales
and ephemeral happy endings

polar shockwave of deception
ice rushing through veins
lured out of the shadows
I lift my veil of shame

stare me right in the eyes
spin me some of your best lies
everything is feigned
but I can still see through you

fraudulent with hate
nothing but a fake
until it all comes crashing down
reality is coming into view

I can read your mind
nowhere for you to hide
spurious emotion exposed
mired in lamentation

iridescence of regret
I say nothing yet
Calculating invitation
