This Moment Lost To Lust

warm breath against flesh
lingering touch and soft skin
it isn't enough

The Whispers of the Wind

a thousand secrets
passed from century to century
seeking who'll listen

I Long To Have You, My Angel

I heard an angel speak last night and he said write
write and dream of the love you seek
the dark hair, dark eyes
and pale white skin so sleek

a perfect face forever etched
in a cold, hard stone
forever in a oblivious stance
watching over them alone

I imagine your wings wrapped tight
a shelter from the winds of change for me
whispers throughout the ages
a silent prayer to set us free

Drowning In Fear

So there I lay, cold and weeping
voices of my mistakes screaming in my ear
thoughts of my life I might not be keeping
drowning in my own useless fear
and the rain began to pour
the blood was washed away
it was me he then came for
let me live another day
I almost lost the battle that night
and many other nights close calls
he's the only one who can let me win the fight
but how long until my life falls
and hes not there to save me
my fears want me dead, maybe then I'll be free

Broken, Foggy Mirror

My life is a mirror
a cracked, foggy mirror.

When I take a look
at my reflection,
what have i become?
Look back to the inception.

My face reflects my life
scarred, bloody and bruised.
Evidence of how I was
pushed around and used.

Three years since the divorce.
Two from the fall.
A girl without a home,
giving you my all.

I was never
good enough for anyone.
My name is said in anguish.
I am what they shun...

My life is like a mirror,
a broken, foggy mirror...
Something nobody bothers to fix.
Just throw me away and don't look back.

Understand

When do we see the true meaning
to what is love or what is life
and in these frigid years of pain
we know no longer
guilt or shame

When we hide the tears and suffering,
hide the scars
attacking with words of fire
we know no longer
our own heart's desire

I Am

I am
every dark thought
passing through your mind

I am
every minute's waste
on a broken watch's clock

I am
every pin prick
every sting or throb of pain

I am
the shadows of your heart
you sought to hide

I am
the past and the present
time's mistake

Time

Time will change the way we look
the way we speak and how we act
time will change our state of mind
and the places we once knew as home

time will take away our safe zones
take away our escapes and leave us lost
time will take away our friends
and everyone we love the most

time will take away my pride
steal my control, steal my sanity
time might even take you away
the one person i hold the dearest

time might just be cruel enough
to let me love and attach to you
and rip it apart in the blink of an eye
but there is one thing time cannot change

time will twist the words
destroy our dreams and steal the joy
time will bring back the painful parts
and pull us into darkness

all this that time can do
but what time will never be able to
it can't take away our happy memories
or my love for you

Love Is

It's the reason
I can't get you out of my head
I won't be getting any sleep tonight
It's the reason
I get out of bed every morning
Continue on this life's fight
It's the reason
I long to be with you
Hold you in my arms forever
my love for you
will never
sever

For My Love

Someone once asked me
Why do I love you?
How could I love you?
What do I see in you?

Maybe it's the way you care
or the way you listen
Maybe it' the perfect brown curls
or those hypnotic brown eyes

Maybe it's the way your eyes light up
when you laugh
Maybe it's because I feel safe
whenever I'm in your arms

Maybe it's because
you're always there
even when everyone else
turns away

Maybe it's because
you're different than the others
Unike them, you're not a jerk
you're not fake

I don't care
what everyone else says
Doesn't matter
what you are to them

Because you're perfect
to me
In my eyes
you are the world

The sun
that gives everything life
The moon
with such power and magic

the cool breeze
on a hot summer day
the little ray of hope
in the darkest shadows

You are
the beating
of my heart

you are my heart
