Understand

When do we see the true meaning
to what is love or what is life
and in these frigid years of pain
we know no longer
guilt or shame

When we hide the tears and suffering,
hide the scars
attacking with words of fire
we know no longer
our own heart's desire

for us to exist there must be a balance of emotions to sustain us, beyond the anger and the tears and pain, the deisre to love again, the quest for happiness, the warmth of fridnship is there. I can surely understand what you are saying and many people look at their later years in this way. as an optimist, as long as there are momnents to be lived and breaths to be taken, love is never totally out of reach
