U Make Me Giggle, U Make Me Laugh

You make me giggle, you make me laugh
you bring to me all that's mine to have
you inject in me joy and drown my pain
you give me shelter from life's pouring rain

You make me laugh, you make me giggle
you bring to my eyes joyous twinkles
You are all that i desire
And in you i find all that i could aspire

You make me, yes you make me ride on the wings of the wind
You put before me songs i always long to sing
You are my night school teacher
my nightmare reliever

Tribute To My Friend

They said you passed away
Only time would say
Some think death caught you in your prime
I know you left in your own maker's time

You were a gentleman fine and clean
Words never found your tomgue slippery but wise and gleam
Quiet but not silent, calm but not sloppy
Like still waters My friend ran deep

You thought me with humility and gentleness
When a Maths so silly made me restless
You reassured me it was just a bump on the road
And putting my best it will be just anther victory story told

I plead to believe that you are and not gone
Though my heart is hollowed by you absence your memoties are as good
Until your leave you were my friend and brother
And I'll hold you so till you I find in forever

Echoes of Distrust

You filled my life with emptiness
When You left me in my distress
all i needed was your company
but all you left me with was tragedy

You entered my life aright
but you left in my discomfort's daylight
How cruel and capricious of you of Girl!
You took away my every pearl

You sank my ship of trust
When you duped me to the dust
You injected my soul with grief
when you left me on a french leave

You were my angel, my nurse, my all, my sun
but you caressed my wallet till it was gone
You left my wholesome heart shattered
and my crispy pocket tattered

Now I am figure without a reflection
Am suddenly a night without the stars
And though you left me with my voice, you took away its power
When you killed my trust on the field of love

Fatherland

From Naija I hail
Across tough and turbulent tides I've sailed
My country, a hardening ground for life
prepares you for the world's untold strife

From Naija I learnt
Not to give in though life stretches you at both lenghts
For it pulls you apart to live
So you can in every situation have thanks to give

From Naija I've known
That the rumblings of a man is for his own
To offer comfort in his home with parity
From whence starts care and charity

From Naija I hold
That some things stay constant as untold
laughter in lack and peace with it
The earth beneath that wont quake even when trouble sits

From Nigeria I'll ascend
For what goes up in here never will descend
And its joy to know am nearer up there
Than those whom the law of gravity has taken care
