Beautiful Sorrow

Old and new
Dust and dawn
Stars and light

A force not to change.
A pasting of the times.
A guide of the hours.

These only seem to grasp the beauty that I can see.
But if you look they also grasp the sorrow that I feel.

I see a child grow,
And the parent is left behind,
Only to miss the joy that is gone.
You wouldn’t think a simple thing as this could break a heart,
But you also never thought you would be so caught in a war,
A war that threatens to tears us all apart at a time when we need the most.

One knows not enough freedom to be the free person she is.
One knows only the day when you are not you and instead she becomes the
mom.
One knows only the cruel words that fill you heart and mouth.

She is active but is chained by your love.
She is the child who plays the mother because of love.
She is the music lover abuse by your love.

Joy!

Love!

Music!
That is who they are but that parent that will morn their absents,
Is the one that in the end will push them all away.

Now as I sit here and vent my sorrow for you,
I can only hope you get my meaning.
I love all of you so much.
I don’t want this war to tear us all apart.
So as I go on I only say just listen and then talk.

First to you the free bird who is caged.
Leah,
You are active.
You are kind.
You are caring.
You are out spoken.
You are independent.
You are a Queen,
The heart of your land.
Never loose that my friend for kindness my get you far but just being you will set
you free.

Next is to you guardian angel who’s wings were clip long ago.
Samantha,
You are kind.
You are loving.
You are the career of wounds.
You are peace keeper of us all.
You are the Healer,
The curer of illnesses.
Don’t loose your power for in the end it is your own magic that will heal your
wings.

And now to a harmony in the beauty of a song that forever goes unheard.
Meghan
You are kind.
You are wise.
You are creative.
You are musical.
You are the Priestess.
The protector of the altar.
Never forget your girt of music cause some day you’ll play that song that all will
love.

So just remember weather you are a Bird, an Angel, or a Song,
All can soar.
All can live.
But most of all they can be.
Cause I will tell you well I can,
This world was not meant for ones as beautiful as we.

For we are bound by more then just heart and soul.
Love ya’ll

Blood Dance

Part 1
“Stand up.”
I heard that voice.
I knew it from somewhere.
Born to be a leader,
Breed to be a killer.
“Stand up!”
A command is easily ignored,
But not an order.
I catch the stick when he tosses it to me.
I can see it all as it unfolds.
Left,
Right,
Down,
Up,
Left,
Right,
Down,
Up.
Faster,
Faster,
Faster.
And again.
Then it changes.
Right,
Down.
Up,
Left.
And again ‘til you get it.
Then you move.
A step here.
A step there.
Ever changing.
“Come on you have to keep up.”
The heart begins to race.
Faster and faster.
Trying to keep pace.
But it’s no use.
It’s not the heart that sets you racing,
It’s the blood,
Burning hot in the vain.
It’s the rage,
Consuming all that you are.
It’s the pain,
And tears that fuel your every being.
It’s all these damned emotions,
Tearing me up inside!
Part 2
Dance, dance, dance with me . . . !
Take a step.
Duck.
Block.
Spin.
Feel the burn.
Step to the beat.
Feel the power flow,
Through you.
Let it take you away.
Feel the burn,
And dance with me.
Step.
Dance.
Duck.
Play.
Jump.
Jump again.
Duck.
Play.
Dance.
Spin.
Feel it inside you..
Don’t let go.
Don’t let it leave you.
“Come on Mori, keep up!”
Left,
Right,
Down,
Up.
“And again!”
“Faster!”
Keep up, you say.
Tell yourself to finish.
Keep going.
Let the thunder push you.
Let it in,
Let it help.
Feel the pace your body sets.
Feel the race it creates.
Start, never stop.
Never give in.
Keep going.
Keep dancing.
Part 3
Left.
Right.
Down.
Up.
Don’t let him win.
Block.
Spin.
Jump.
Duck.
Don’t give in.
Keep going.
Oh, but you are so tried.
“No Mori!”
That was too close.
The sticks crack the air,
Like the thunder does the sky.
Don’t let him win.
No!
You block that move,
But you feel it echo through you.
Jump the next.
Up then back out of the way.
Out of reach.
This is getting you not where.
Not like this.
What are you doing out here?
The thunder sounds,
Startling you both, off balance.
Catch yourself with your wings.
Now the fun begins.
You’re showing weakness.
He’ll play on that.
Use it against you.
Don’t let him win!

Rain Dance

Tap, tap, tap
You hear the rain, on your front step,
You walk outside,
You look to the sky,
As the rain clouds let loose.

Step fourth onto this rain-soaked ground,
Playing on the new marble,
Of our dance floor.

The rhythm of our melody,
Is played,
By the sweet surrender,
Of the leaves,
To the soft whisper,
Of the wind.

The raindrops hitting the ground,
Are like,
Little elves,
Dancing at your feet.

As your dance comes to a halt,
The wind whispers,
One last time,
It’s soft, sweet melody.
Lifting the leaves,
From their perch high above,
In the moonlit trees,
Carrying them to where,
Your feet touch the ground.
Your last stand begins,
As they swirl around,
Embracing a new destiny.

Is It Real?

Lost in fantasy.
Is I real?
Are you real?
Lost in a dream.
I look to the room,
Across the way.
You stand there,
Then you disappear,
Only to reappear,
Right before my eye.
A simple, smile.
An out stretched hand.
You reach to touch my cheek.
I lean in to the touch.
The warmth, and protection.
I close my eyes,
To hold on to this very second.
Is it real?
Are you real?
With my head resting on the desk,
I look up to see the love reflected in your eyes.
I look up to see you one lost time,
Before you fade.
Lost in fantasy.
Is it real?
Are you real?
Lost in a dream.
As you turn to leave,
A tear escapes my grasp,
Hitting the desk below my head.
I hold on to your picture in my head,
Cause when I wake the tear is there but you are gone.
No trace that you every existed.
Lost in fantasy.
Is it real?
Are you real?
Lost in a dream?
Is it real?
Are you real?
Cause the heart says yes,
The mind say get a grip girl.
Lost in fantasy.
Is it real?
Are you real?
Lost in a dream.
Is it real?
Are you real?

Flames and Shadows

Some say the flame will fill your soul,
Some say the flame will harm you if you come to near,
Some say the flame makes the fire whole,
I say love the flame and it will love you.

The right melody can make the flames dance.
The right rhythm and you will dream.
The flame shown by the dark is hidden by the light.
Pay attention or the flame will take control.

Some say the shadows hide the truth,
Some say the shadows keep you from yourself,
Some say the shadows spread the darkness,
I say embrace the shadow’s power, and be protected.

The right amount of light will keep the shadows from you,
But not enough and you can get lost.
The shadow in the corner only watches to learn.
Pay attention or you will draw to near.
