Lost and Found

What once was lost now is found.
It didn’t take the help of a helicopter or a blue tick hound.
All it needed was a helping hand.
Blowing away pain like a pile of sand.
The observant eye showing the way.
Seeing night as clear as day.
Watching a clover blowing in the wind with a broken heart.
Makes me wish we never did part.
You used to say we would always be together.
I will lock the memory of you in my heart forever.

Alone

Sitting alone in her room, their voices filling her head.
"Why wont they shut up?!?" she screams to herself.
The noise never ends. It bounces off the walls, slams into her.
Shaking her body, ratteling her bones, stopping her heart, ripping out her breath. There is no other way.
She reaches over grabbing the pocket knife lying on the nightstand.
Slowly sliding it open she presses the cool metal to her skin,
creating a small dent in her wrist.
Letting out a long sigh she slices into herself.
Blood seeps down her hand onto the floor.
Finally it is finished. She is at peace.
The voices stop, all that can be heard is her fading breath and the sound of the rain falling.
