Storm

Clouds begin to darken across the sky,
The fury of the wind begins to blow.
The people below feel a deadly storm is nigh,
Letting loose, torrents of water start to flow.
Rivers begin to surge and swell,
Flooding the fields far and wide.
Leaving another tale for the land to tell,
The people wait hoping the storm will soon abide.
Soon the eye of the storm will arrive,
Bringing with it a more violent force.
Further underground the people start to dive
Praying the storm will change its angry course.
Destroying everything in its path,
Leaving death and disaster in its wake.
Soon the people will emerge and do the math,
Envisioning how long the rebuilding will take.
Soon the sun will begin to shine,
Clearing away all the fear inside.
Moving away all the dirt and grime,
Remembering all those who had died.

War

Darkness creeps into the forest.
Souls cry out in an eerie chorus.
Bloody figures fill the ground.
Silence is heard all around.

Larks cry out in the sky.
Watching fighters die and die.
All day long the war shall rage.
Til it comes to the final stage.

Man and Dragon side by side.
Watching the slowly turning tide.
Homeward bound they turn to go.
Believing they had beaten their foe.

The ground shakes beneath their feet.
It opened wide, their fates they meet.
The dragons begin to fly.
Saving the men as they fall to die.

Through the sky they each did soar.
Til they reached there home once more.
The maidens cheer and make merry.
They shared the wine from the finest berry.

No Other

Having a companion by your side
Together facing the changing tide

There for you when your sad
Sitting in silence when your mad

Together you share each others joys
And she forgets all the other boys

Whispering secrets in your ear
Chasing away your every fear

Holding hands walking down the road
Fingers interlaced telling of its sacred code

Together you leave on your way home
Knowing you will never be alone

Teasing him lightly just to hear his laugh
While lighting candles for the bath

Kissing her softly upon the lips
Touching her gently with his finger tips

His arms slipping around her waist
Knowing no other will take his place.
