Untitled 2

Who am I in the universe?
I’ve heard this one before,
Just a stupid little spot,
On a stupid blue/green ball
Is this true? I think not!
There is a purpose to me
I don’t know what it is yet
But one day I’m bound to see.
The Lord has plans
I don’t know what
But as long as He is there
I have no care
I would go anywhere --- for Him.

Close Call

The drums were banging as
The executioner was looming
Hiding was impossible as
He could always find me

It was then that I could feel him
Standing next to me
He said come over this way
I can keep you safe

I can’t hide you forever
I can’t drag you along
But if you’re stuck and hurting
I’ll be here to push you on

He was my guide as I started to walk
Even waited when I was unsure
How much I want to do for him
But don’t know how or where or when

I’m sure you’ll tell me one time
I’ll just have to wait
Patience is a virtue
And can keep you in faith

Untitled 1

What makes me spin?
What makes me run?
Is it knowing that life has just begun?

You know something?
I think it is
There’s no way at all
Til you have this

Life with Him
It makes you think
What do I want?
Is it worth the risk?

What makes me spin?
What makes me run?
Is it knowing that life has just begun?

Maybe not or maybe so…
Or maybe I will never know!

Holding On

As I walked along the seashore
Looking at the sand
Someone came beside me
And took me by the hand

There were no words involved here
I knew what I had to do
I had to turn around right then
And walk back towards you

The turn made everything strange
The ground became new to me
Every single grain of sand
Everything that I could see

Then another came along
And took a hold of me
Tried to turn me back again
To the person I used to be

I was stood still in my journey
Though I knew where I had to go
But things were heating up now
Which direction I didn’t know

To figure this out I needed help
My two guides were sound asleep
What was I to do then?
Which life should I choose to keep?

To anyone else this looks pointless
But I knew I had to choose
I knew that with this new guide
I would most certainly lose

The first guide that came to me
Awoke and started to leave
When I started to walk along with him
More faith I did receive

The more I follow and start to learn
The easier this becomes
But let this thing remind you
That temptation, yet hidden, comes.

My Guide

The wind was wild and chilly
On that cold, wet winters night
But I finally felt the warmth
Of a far of light

For many years I did wander
Not knowing where to go
There I met this poor pilgrim
It was him I got to know

He was searching for his Lord
His one eternal master
He was old and frail and ill
But he was urging me to move faster

The night before we hit the light
He went away from me
The peaceful look that came from him
Was a wondrous sight to see

I was lost, alone, bewildered
‘Til he came to me in a dream
He was my guide from start to finish
And that was when I screamed:

“My Lord, my God, my Master
I now come to pray to you
I ask for your forgiveness
And your help to guide me through
You have my friend the pilgrim
I thank you, you allowed us to meet
I pray that you can help me
Because sin I want to beat”

The wind was wild and chilly
On that cold, wet winters night
But I finally felt the warmth
Of a far off light
