Tulips

The tulip is the first flower of spring.
Under the sun the rays of light bring.
Lovely flowers that brighten your day.
In various colors their quite an aray.
Plant them one time and each year they'll grow.
So you can sit back and just watch them go.

The Rodeo Clown

It must be hard to be a clown.
When all day long you're chased around.
Those great big bull's whose attention you need.
If the cowboys caught up and can't be freed.
Ther're putting their own lives in harms way.
So the cowboy's may ride another day.
The rodeo clown must have nerves of steal.
Cuz the job their doing is a really big deal.
If they don't do their job then things can go wrong.
And the life of a cowboy just might be gone.

To Uncle Art With Love

The Lord is there he's by our side.
Just trust in him he'll be our guide.
He'll test our faith from time to time.
And being scared is not a crime.
Just know he's there and take his hand.
He'll lead us to that promised land.
Where fear and sadness are no more.
And soon we'll know what it's all for.
So take the good times with the bad.
We'll understand this life we've had.
By testing our faith he keeps us strong.
For that's God's purpose all along.
We'll search for answers we can't find.
But we'll know soon what's on his mind.
For we will see God in thee end.
We'll find that God's our greatest friend.
So keep that faith and we'll be fine.
We'll see God's purpose in good time.

Halloween Humor.

Halloween's that time of year.
When ghosts and gobblins will appear.
From door to door they trick or treat.
So when their done they cold feet.
The kids don't care they have their candy.
While mom and dad break out the brandy.
For their the ones who feel the cold.
Which means one thing their getting old.
The kids drift off and fall asleep.
Now to the candy their parents creep.
Their favorite candy is what they seek.
There's no big harm to take a peek.
They never let this secret go.
But kids are smart and always know.

Old Maid

It took 44 years for me to marry.
When your my age that's kind of scary.
Thinking old age would get me first.
Or even something like dying of thirst.
Then one day my Knight did shine.
At that moment I said he's mine.
It's my old friend from twenty years.
I used to sing songs in his ear.
We used to get a lot of stares.
The song I sung was Unanswered Prayers.
He'd asked me twice when I was twenty.
But being young and men were plenty.
That's when I should of followed my heart.
Instead of spending 20 years apart.
I lost that time we could have shared.
But now we're hitched and the perfect pair.

The Military's Pride

They are proud to be an American.
Going all over fighting other men and women.
They train very hard to become the best.
Some even earn metals to pin on their chest.
No matter the threat wether great or small.
They are giving their lives to protect us all .
They're the bravest of brave putting their lives on the line.
Protecting us all - that means your lives and mine.
Thank you so much for all the things that you do.
Fighting for the colors of the Red, White and Blue.

My Friends Final Journey Home

Didn't want you to read this till you got on your way.
For a safe trip you will have I hope and I pray.
Sisters at heart we will always be.
Who cares if we don't share the same family tree.
The roots of our friendship will keep going strong.
They're planted in my heart for my whole life long.
So the sisterly love will always be there.
I'll never forget the good times we shared.
We laughed together, cried together, even got wild together.
That's why our friendship we have will stay with me forever.
I pray that your last days are fun and pain free.
Turning out as great as you want them to be.
Don't worry about me or the man that you love.
We'll know that you're with us from somewhere above.
Go on your last journey and have lots of fun.
I'll see you again when my journey's done.

A Fireman With a Big Heart

Our firemen will always put their lives on the line.
It doesn't matter who for, whether it's your life or mine.
Most people would never give any thought to saving a dog's life.
But to this fireman it was like saving someones wife.
The picture shows the thankfulness in this poor mama's eye.
She knew without this man's help her puppies would die.
You can just see the bond this tragic fire did start.
Between one thankful dog, and one fireman's big heart.
There's a bond there that no one else will ever have shared.
Be it just for the fact that one fireman showed that he cared.
Nothing else in this world show's a dog's thankfulness.
Then coming up to your face and giving you a big kiss.

An Eagles Flight

They soar and glide all through the air.
The eagles flight will make you stare.
Just standing back you watch them fly.
Wishing you to could touch the sky.
To have that feeling of being free.
The freedom to soar above the trees.
To feel the wind blowing in your face.
While gliding along with an eagles grace.
The eagles flight is strong and proud.
Watching them fly above the clouds.
The eagle's eyes have such great sight.
He finds his prey in the dark of night.
Swooping down he spots his prey.
They have no chance to get away.
He grabs his prey with his strong claws.
While you stand watching him in awe.

911

The world that day did cry.
We saw those two planes fly.
Into the two great towers.
We watched and prayed for hours.
Our hopes and prayers we'd give.
In hopes that most would live.
For there were many heroes.
That day on ground zero.
But soon we would find out.
That there were more planes out.
There was a great big sigh.
We knew more souls would die.
We heard their last goodbyes.
Which made their loved ones cry.
Their souls were saved that day.
While all on board did pray.
For in their hearts they knew.
Their lives on earth were through.
That big plane did go down.
With no survivors found.
But as heroes they did stand.
That day on God's right hand.
