The Girl Who Will Always Be Red

A knife cuts open her heart
the blood flow ceases to start
a rare thing is life
with this idea she continues to strive.

In this world of evil
she is lost
it overwhelms her
the pain, the exhaust.

Her eyes are stained red
into a trap she was led
unable to escape,
she was morphed into another shape.

Her body shakes
as if she will soon break
she will never come back
her heart she will always lack.

Split In Two

My heart beats at the sight of him
whenever I see him, I feel weak at the knees
he is my forever, I wish

The time apart,
the distance,
may break us
but he disagrees.

My want for him
overpowers my need for new experiences
life is complicated,
my heart is split in half, but I know wish half I'll choose

Knowing that he'll be gone,
no matter what he says,
makes me long for adventure
feeling emptiness inside of my heart makes me want to be in his arms.

The path I want is him
however, what he wants is something else,
new experiences, new people...
I can only hope that we are strong enough
that I am strong enough,
to make it through
