L.I.E.S.

I've told so many lies, that it makes no scense
Of shame, pain not havin thangs, crafting stories-true myths
Lied about victories, age, life and all
Dressed up truths, just wanted to impress all of yall
But what I came to realize, everybody tells lies
Past things to hide, some of us just have no pride
But lies eventually turn to game, so the lie can maintain
We maintain the lie, and thats when we start to change
Lies build up image, paint a beautiful picture
And since they believe the lies, our social statis gets bigger
And just like His-Story, lies are truth
Images built from youth
And lies became me and you
Of what people believe to be true
Till we're lost in words, behind a mask
Turned to actors, putting our true self last
But who really cares as long as the lie lives and last

See I got ah Mama who loves and cares, but still will lie to me
Its called not hurtin feelings, yet it still affects me
But its all love, maybe all lies ain't bad, some make you laugh
Until your the victom to find that you've been had
Like broads lying about their baby is mines
I play the yah right-role, but babies will soften you blind
So I lie to myself, and say maybe its true
And after all the years of support, the lie remains the truth
Call it suckered, but these are lies we can live with
Mamas baby, Daddy's maybe; so who really is the PIMP, and who's the TRICK
But lies make us feel so good when it ain't understood
I love; I know she loves me; I know that she should
Got my life savings on her finger, creeping with the best man
Tiried before we make love, but I don't want to understand
So the truth of the lie snaps, but I'm too scared to leave her scuffed up and filthy
But her dropping the charges of Domestic Violence, a hurtful lie that has found me guilty

But so what...The Government lies, so why should I try
To tell the truth, when lies can get you by
It seems they come so easy like saying your name
Not intending to lie, but the tongue spits game
Even the Preachers lies, you see it in his eyes
"Which one goes in his pocket; offerings or tighs
The teachers down too, only if they knew
They got ah degree to teach lies, and they believe its the truth
They lied in the Bible, to save innocent lives
Women lie for their men, just to remain their wives
Every trial swares to tell the truth and nothing but the truth
On a stack of Bibles, lies are let lose

Though there is truth in every lie, if we'd only listen
But WE to busy telling lies to pay any attention
LIES......
