The Day Before

This world grows dim
this world grows dim
this world's glowing dimmer than before;
Before this hate amongst ourselves
seared us to our core.
This world was glowing oh so bright
on the day before;
On the day before--on the day before
the day before this sorrowful war.
The sunshine's fading more
than the moon that came before
that sorrowful war.
Ignore the hate amongst ourselves
that chilled us to the core
and enjoy the way it was on
the day before.

Embers

Darkness falls upon my skin
Bright as a dimming ember.
Fire rose up, trapping me in
Dark as a bright shining star;
But I no longer remember
When blood and fire mixed and bended my being;
Mended they never were, my cure they were seeing
As I was shredded and torn
Stained by the blood of a raging thorn.
These scars have never disappeared so far.
Enclosed, forsaken, that is to be--my destiny.
Torturous fire and blood created me,
Now never will be known my raptured passion,
As one taught me in a treacherous session
A horrible lesson, now I give to you
What was once my due
As the flames rise higher.
For a question I no longer remember
For once I was too late, and dire
Answers disintegrate
And fade like a dying ember.
