Ryan Thomas Poem
she arrives
parting these prison waves
the terrible jolting crash
of release
shocking noise
this lucid vision
of you
all too kind
to fault
all too warm
to freeze
all too flawed
to hope
all too real
no more 'I'
your light remains me
indecipherable
love;
this white blue lightning
sears the flesh
but purifies me
you purify me.

Ryan Thomas Poem
one vow
one order
one blow
here inexorable from you
my love
show me the way
with chains
these shackles so cold
and passionate
my love
you promised
and here we are
together forever
'til death do us part'
my love
it's been such a long time
since i paid for your mistakes
do you see us there?
smiling
my love
you thought you got away
but here we are again!
no running! besides;
this knife is so sweet
my love

Ryan Thomas Poem
strange arrangements
promising faith but
is feeling different privately
breaking that
is it natural
the right way about it to remain mono
yet so guilty for shattering such things
"what are you thinking?
is that my business?
would you if you weren't with me?"
is overcoming the urge enough
to overcome the shame

Ryan Thomas Poem
without support
silent echoes and rumours
'did i hear that?'
tracing invisible paths
through insubstantial material
no kindness
no direction
fatally incorrigible
from fear
walking is sitting
running is lying down
the passage of time ceases
i drift
like carbon monoxide
slow burning
self-destructive
to one
to zero
without matter
without life;
without you.

Ryan Thomas Poem
whisper my name
as a cold shot of pain
the aftermath of a requited cruelty
reminds me of the perfection we could never be
but now it's over,
i can't find my soul
now it's over,
i'm wandering alone
despite the joy for which we fought
too many promises returned nought
but what makes me sick to think
is that the ravenous jealousy inside me
can't bear to picture your face,
since, rightfully, someone pure has taken my place

Ryan Thomas Poem
fighting back instinct for modern civilization
denying truth for some desperate stab
at feeling special; above and beyond
making ourselves jealous
insecure
imaginatively punishing others for doing
what we are also doing ourselves
and despite our best efforts
and through all of our confusion
and even for being brutally, fervently
faithful
(because it's 'the done thing')
human x is to human y
as sperm is to egg
we are animals

Ryan Thomas Poem
amidst the circular, infinitely lateral depths,
a blinding, stark sliver finds consciousness;
erupting forth from the inverted arterial cascade
in arching pathways dimensionally untied
by helical vacuum vortices.
spiralling into a unique interpretation,
etched in nothing, tracing contours,
simulating substance, expanding and contracting;
held forever-more in a blind copy, apparently real,
yet in final calculation, a divisor effectively zero.

Ryan Thomas Poem
you tore me to shreds
with idiot lies and rumours
try me again
one word is enough
i won't wait around you'll see
bad decision
one more time
i'm done for
but do you think you do me favours?
do you think you mend me?
consider me before
you tear me

Ryan Thomas Poem
pure clean love
gets my vote
the truck with the armour
outside my house
their house?
gets my vote
this cold silence
gets my vote
our new decision
'all for one'
gets my vote
never mind, sir
all under control
there is wrong love here
they call it
will they find us soon?
this oppression
gets my vote

Ryan Thomas Poem
when you think you're out of the woods
three-headed alligators come chasing
somehow invisible, the apocalypse holds a card for you
the black sky cracks open, rolling icy thunder
in your direction
the things you said were quite tough
but were not, and never will be
birthed from some divine origin enough
in order to keep from reality
that single mind-blowing TRUTH!
that henceforth and forever-more you'll stand
and lie
in numb submission to;
this cold wait for nothing is yours and mine
