Love Is Not a Myth

Streams of dancing moonlight
lying softly against your face
here with you in my arms
there is no other place

The world has disappeared
as I look into your eyes
I'm engulfed in emotion
my heart feels paralyzed

Tasting your lips passionately
I lose my breath in our kiss
emotion spinning out of control
Love is not a myth

He's Waiting...

He’s waiting for you to play with him
Alone he sits with his dinosaurs and cars
Wishing you were here to play too

He’s waiting for you to call him
Everyday he tells me
I want to talk to my daddy

He’s waiting for you to hold him
When he is hurt or sick he tells me…
I want my daddy…

He’s waiting for you to see him
Everyday he combs his hair and tells me
“I’m going to see my daddy.”

He sees you in his dreams
When he wakes up in the morning he says
I played with daddy while I was asleep.

And everyday that he waits for you…
His heart breaks a little more
Not knowing it’s your own selfishness
That keeps you away from him.

My baby wants a daddy
He needs a daddy
He loves his daddy even though he’s always away.

All I can do is tell him that it isn’t his fault
Because it isn’t his fault that you aren’t here for him
I tell him that you are sick
And he can see you when you are better.

My heart breaks for him.
His tears fall for you,
And you are never here to catch them

He’s waiting to be loved
He’s waiting to be held
He’s waiting for you to reach out to him.

I hope that one day he will know
He needs to know that he is the most precious thing on Earth.
You make him feel less than that

How does it make you feel to know
That you have that much power over his life
And instead of using it to make him a better person
You use it to destroy his feelings.

I hope that you realize what you do
I hope you can’t sleep at night
I hope that he treats you in your old age
The way that you have treated him as a child

A precious soul is being shattered
Because of your selfishness
Someone will take your place
Don’t be surprised when he isn’t waiting for you anymore.

What I Want

I want a touch that's soft and tender...
I want a whisper full of desire...
I want my breath stolen as I see you...
I want passion that comes from inside you...

I want words when you cannot find them...
I want promises that come natural for you to keep...
I want honesty as you hold me...
I want you to look at us and regret nothing...

I want you to long to have me in your arms...
I want time to have you with me...
I want to never feel lonely again...
I want to have you as my best friend always...

I want you to never have to feel sorrow...
I want you to always feel proud to be with me...
I want the memory of us together to always be a good one...
I want to always be your girl...

I want you to always want me...
I want to be there when you need me...
I want you to know that I'm sincere...
I want always to be the one that makes you feel alive...

I want you to know that no matter what...
I want you forever...
and even tho I don't always get what I want...
I will always want as long as there is you...

Ultimate Sacrifice

Unrequited love
Rising from a deathlike sleep
Comfort in apprehension
Thoughts that run too deep

A strange but beautiful occurrence
Erroneous love, I did find
Life consuming emotion
A disquieted state of mind

This fire if left to burn
May exhaust my soul
Suspicion of future anguish
An insurmountable hole

Inspired fear and awe
Through the purity of my desire
Disillusioned by my own heart
Reality and lonliness conspire

The oblivion of truth
leaves fascination to reign
Avaricious for true love
Impetuous rush of pain

The Window

Looking out the window but I still didn't see,
Still waiting for daddy to come for me.

He's not here again today,
I'll just wait for tomorrow for us to play.

Tomorrow I'll be especially good,
so he'll come see me like he said he would.

I want to hug him and for him to kiss me,
I wonder if he has really missed me.

This window holds the reflection of me crying,
as I sit and wonder if you are even trying.

I thought I seen your car pass by,
Daddy, I'm waiting, stop making me cry.

In Thoughts of Him

Thinking of him
his eyes so bright and kind
his lips pouting as he sits in thought
his face being held so tenderly
by the streams of moon light

I think of his hands
how they feel as they brush
against my skin
I think of his arms
how they feel propped under my head
as we lay together
I think of his chest
and how it rises with each breath

I think of his words
how they whisper in my ear
but somehow reach my heart
I think of his look he gives me
as I smile at him
I think of his expression
as I tell him something new

I think of him
I think of how he makes everything better
just by being present
I think of him
I think of how the thoughts of ever being without him
makes me feel like I might fall apart
I think of him
I think of how I will ever catch my breath again
when I look into his eyes

I think of him
I think of him
I think of him
and if I ever get truly lost
I hope it is forever in thoughts of him

In My Eyes

In my eyes can you see?
the reflection of the man you're meant to be?

In my eyes you are as lovely
as a breeze in autumn's night
In my eyes you are gentle
as a mother with newborn cries

In my eyes you are as calming
as water washing over stones
In my eyes you are peaceful
as a midnight walk alone

In my eyes you are as exciting
as the fireworks as they fly
In my eyes you are as stunning
as a star in a moonlit sky

In my eyes you are so handsome
like a man out of a dream
In my eyes you are protection
from a world that is so mean

In my eyes you are so noble
I feel you do no wrong
In my eyes you are companionship
on nights that seem so long

And if my eyes are lying,
then what can I believe?
Cause my eyes are windows to my soul
and your soul is what I've seen
