Hunter Ware Poem
I could weep for rejection
Or whine about loneliness
But would it change anything?
Bring me closer to happiness?
No.
Because at the end of the day
My life isn't that bad.
No matter the heartbreak
Regardless how sad.
I'm still alive
Alive enough to pray
That I can still smile
At the end of the day.

Hunter Ware Poem
Kids flick paper airplanes
And goof around in class
But what can you expect?
The teacher won't get off her ass.
Such lovely etiquette
Our tax dollars at work
So please don't strain yourself
You inconsiderate jerk.
I speak as a student of this class
This very poem my example
And as you can clearly see
My free time is quite ample.
Instead of learning vocab
I'll write some pretty words
While I should be learning other things
Such as nouns, adjectives, and verbs.
But I've far excelled this
It's a waste of my time
I already find this form basic
Why am I still learning rhyme?
Because I am subject to my lazy teacher
Who fritters her time away
As one so elequently put it
"This class is so gay."

The flower sprouts up
Among cold modern concrete
And is crushed by all.

Hunter Ware Poem
We continue life
And all it's evil and good
Bears down upon us
We're overwhelmed by our lives
But find peace in the chaos.

Trees dance in the wind
Moonlight reflects slow grace
They spin unaware.

Hunter Ware Poem
I'm alone, even amongst my friends
Who among them could understand?
A gay teen, full with self doubt
Insults from others sting
Mental barbs are worse
For the alone
Desperate
Hated
Gay.

Beckons
Offers dreams
More pleasant than

Hunter Ware Poem
Laughter fills the air
And it sets the sun alight
Breathes life into all
It grants us serenity
And we giggle, merry fools.

Hunter Ware Poem
An abomination in your eyes
My rights swept away by your lies.
Call us freaks, spread your hate
Go ahead and take the bait.
When it's over, you're gonna see
You'd kill to be a little like me.
Instead of an evil, vindictive soul
Trapped in your pathetic little boy's role.

Hunter Ware Poem
A certain etiquette
Undoubtingly followed
More faith placed than a medle of Gods.
Perhaps this is because of difference in value?
Truly, what is Divinity
When compared to social dogma?
A God can only destroy
The words of peers annhilate
And make one pray to that same deity, for an end.
Unaware of our own faith
To the social rules we bow before,
It is simple to become a shell
Cut down by a few mocking glances.
Please, tell me how you're different.
Explain to me that social status is nothing.
But, why then is it
That you're witholding so much emotion?
You won't tell your neighbor your political views
Blatantly refuse to have an open opinion
Lest you offend another,
And become the dreaded pariah.
