End of the Day

I could weep for rejection
Or whine about loneliness
But would it change anything?
Bring me closer to happiness?

No.
Because at the end of the day
My life isn't that bad.
No matter the heartbreak
Regardless how sad.

I'm still alive
Alive enough to pray
That I can still smile
At the end of the day.

Hunter, great uplifting poem - I just wrote a rather extensive essay on how true happiness can only be found within - took me over 2,500 words to say what you said in about 50 - great job - Congratulations on having your poetry featured this week, mj
