Week Number Six

Week Number 6
Perhaps the most eccentric of all weeks
Week 5 worries too much
Week 7 doesn’t worry enough
Hopefully this week will pass
Is it forgetful?
No
Death in his left corner gives me a smile
He’s been waiting for the end of this week for a while
Bam! The chaos starts
The Earth rumbles fiercely
Who am I to pick apart week number six?
Gods and godesses tie my noose
The rope swings loosely
Perhaps if I was shocked?
Uninterrupted hesitation reeks the air
Blind faith moves the tides
If only I had cancer
Some great disease
Does this really need to be understood?
Unmarked beauty, Untamed madness
All within the week number six
You don’t need to be happy
Nor do you need to exist
Entrapped in the mist
Of week number six
And in all my glory
In all my failure as well
Do I blame the rain when it falls on me?
No
It falls because I let it
All within the power I don’t have
So much confidence
In week number six
Do the stars blind you?
Is it great to feel loved?
Sit on a bench in the park
Feel the wind across your hair
Realize there is nothing to be observed
Realize there is nothing that can be fixed
In week number six
