Subspace Triptych

descent:

crack!
sear sting
oh…
shocked into clarity
sharp edged relief of now
laid bare on a tempest

slick satin slides
catches my wrists
pulls up
pulls tight
paradigm shift
into controlessness

now bleeds into forever
the lash polishes beauty

breathe, baby
shallow and slow
pulse under fingertips

my tensile strength
stretch tested
stripped to basic need
growl groan glissando
snap crackle pop

exploration:

intellectual understanding withers in the flare of experiential wisdom.
to be willingly splayed to the whim of Fate is freedom.

how many times have you seen your true self?
do you look away from your flaws, your deep secrets?
hidden in your safe, little boundaries, do you wonder about the depth of your perceptions?

the life of the mind, sliced loose from so called reality, lunges into the unknown with a
will.

how far back does the cave go?

surfacing:

it begins to creep in
the blade of lamplight
the spinning fan
the cool, damp pillow

flutterblink and sigh
stretch against the wondrous ache, a souvenir
downsplashed again on a tragically mistaken world

color dims as soul sight recedes
sound unlayers and sinks to mere noise
muted and glaring, life awaits reentrance

oh, fine.
if I must…

Waiting Is Fullness, Ya Grok?

one day
the girl woke up,
a question of self
positively answered,
and stretched in her new skin

Things

like his warm breath
on my neck
naked, curled around me
in sweet darkness

like the edge
on janis' voice
wailing with her whole self
compelling me along

like the ache
in my feet
from carrying coffeepots
all night long

like the fights
in my head
i have with imaginary him
never said aloud

like the sting
of smoke, so often
i've never minded
my addictions

like color bursts
in my vision
rippling, changing at a turn
of my head

like sunlight
as i try to sleep
while he flips and flops
and my mind hazes

Separation 2

blue book
of black matches
with purple tips

a flame
to a smoke
then a drag

i relish
exhale slow
and drag again

Regret

caress of a raindrop
caught in the hand
held to the sun
exquisite fracture light
and the taste reminds me
of the slide of your smile
down my throat

The Bath

water steams past candlelight
a naked woman in a small room
full with hot, fragrant wetness
enveloping her body
releasing the tension of living
becoming just herself

Together

sprung from reality to fantasy
the day my soul recognized yours
and i turned onto your path

now you are bound to me
and i am bound to thee
hurtling together
towards something we cannot see

Reverie Into Revelation

my spirit suddenly woke
slapped me around a bit
set me straight
fed me Light
cracked me open

little trickles now
praise prayer song
blessing against the cursing
color seeping back into
this grey murk

how is it
i turn away
i neglect
i forget
who i am?

Tripping On Flowertops

smiling into the abyss
sure of the whim that spins me
relearning the Dance

Autumn's Truth

november is a weeping lady
shedding her dried brown tears
all over my lawn

she grieves for Life
so that after a time of rest
all can be reborn
