Joy of the Heart

Now this little light of mine,
I'm going to let it shine...
until I'm down by the river.
As I wait for the good Lord...
to pass my way.

And even tho I have many rivers to cross,
I'm reminded of the life he lost.
To spare us... the cost.

Because I was blind but now I see...
watching as he walked the raging sea...
trapped within me.

I was lost,
but by his blood...
I am found...
my soul...
no longer...
cast to the ground!

Living once...
with a chasm so wide...
but by his stripes...
I can reach the other side!

knowing a love that never fails...
steady watching as his hands...
were driven by nails!

His spirit committed to arms,
that holds strong...
waving their banners as they
play the war song...

cheering "crucify him"
as the crowd marches on!

Forgive them...
for they know not what they do...
words changed dark skies to blue...
love was the only thing he...
had for me and you!

You see...
for you and I...
he paid a heavy price...
to melt the hearts...
of those who turned to ice!

Saving us from sheer destruction...
so the father may bring forth...
our redemption!

Vail ripped in two...
revealing the heart of God...
to me and you...

a withered leaf he will not bruise...
captured by his mercy...
while my emotions take a cruise!

As I lay here and reflect...
on the outcome his death meant...
all I can do is count my blessings...
and pray that I continue his reflection...
no longer following my own objection.

Now this little light of mine...
I'm going to let it shine...
until I'm down by the river...
As I wait for the good Lord...
to pass my way.

Thankful, for this new day!

Pure Woman

Pure Woman

What would you do if you found a women
As pure as the day she was born.

A woman radiant like no other, who’s light
Purifies darkness and holds the shadows at bay.

One untouched by man, with a beauty unmatched.
Whose eyes are spell-binding, with a simple glance.

With words so warm, they melt the hearts of man.
And open the gates of locked emotions.

Skin so smooth you can call it silk, and lips as
Sweet as roses and honey.

One who is wise like a serpent, yet gentle as a dove.
Whose laughter brings joy to the ears.

To find such one, would be an endless treat
But if you found such a one, what would you do?

Would you throw dirt on her name?
Turning her into a bride of hate and confusion!
Roughly pulling and tugging on her body until
There is nothing left? Causing disrespect and mistrust.

Or would you help her grow and develop into the angel she is
Meant to become. A pure and lovely soul for all to love and follow!

Kingdom Come

I'm stuck between two choices. Is it this, or is it that?
So much weight rides upon my back.

A pack mule to the world, and a slave to my envy.
Staying faithful to people, desiring no glory.
Yet I fight to stay on my journey. As others sit, and write my story.
Nothing flashy do I seek. Nor do I seek an audience with the king.

For heavy is the head that wears the crown, and there is never a soul
To help lift you from off the ground. Nor does anyone hear you, when you make a sound.

The throne is a seat, in which one may not rest their feet, and in all truth, it never seems complete. Relaxed for the moment, on guard for the next. A life of ease, with unseen rest.

A simple test to a mindless quest, yet still we give our very best. Only to be beaten Beyond regret, and mocked by those who seem to be the true elect.

One may tell a joke, while the other begins to choke. And when it all burns down
I wonder what lies beyond the smoke, or what rumors will a dead man provoke!

And though my words may not pass this iron gate, I make my stand, and thus do I
Celebrate, for I hope to remove the hate, and watch the world turn and calibrate.

As pride and joy join together, we must sit and remind one another that even though times are rough, we can still stand tough, hold our heads high, and never give up!

What Does It

Now what does it profit
a man to gain
The whole world
but lose his soul.

I don't know...
ask the fool
With the gold.

Chomping on the bread of Decite...
And boy does it ever taste sweet...
But afterwards
your mouth is full of concrete.

Two eyes that never meet,
Feeling so incomplete...
Yet we look at each other...
And say...Ssh
we're just being discreet!

Running in circles
like three blind mice...
Out of sight and out of mind,
Cant you see,
I'm on my grind
Doing this on my own time,
This is my house,
I'm in my prime.

Funny how your life
is sour like lime...
So you never realize
the real lies
that lie
Deep within the lines
of a man-made mind.

Yet you act so surprise
when you find yourself
in a house full of compromise.

A penny for your thoughts,
here take a few shots,
Don't worry about the time you lost,
it wasn't worth much
so don't count the cast.

Shipwrecked and upset,
your life holds no threat...
and the way you act,
this is the best you'll ever get!

So step up or get wrecked,
because the chain is off the neck,
so wild and carefree
a short step away from destiny

ready to take a step
so, please
don't ignore
the blood and sweat.
No longer bound
By my regret.

So look into my eyes and
tell me what you see,
am I your friend or your enemy?
A good time or a casualty

But at this point
It doesn't even matter,
because I break through reality,
and shatter your fantasy,
so please don't flatter me.

Because I couldn't care less
For who you are or
what you think,

if you swim
Or if you sink...
Because this life is too short
And ends in a blink.

Stined by your pride,
swept by the tide,
my shame on the rise...
But this little light of mine...
I am going to let it shine and run this
Race til I've run dry.

Now what does it profit
a man to gain
The whole world but lose his soul.

I don't know...
ask the fool
With the gold.

Chomping on the bread of Decite...
And boy does it ever taste sweet...
But afterward, your mouth is full of concrete.
