Matimba Happy Baloyi Poem
They say the Sahara was once full of life
Could you believe it? that dead grey sand was once covered by green grass?
These dead dry valleys were once full of water? sounds unbelievable
They say man kind's activities and a little bit of nature did that
If the world which was made for mankind to live in couldn't take it then
Who am I? YOH Deeds are destroying me just like yoh ancestors did to the Sahara.
I been the first to call n the last to text, been there for you I GUES YO TOO blind to see that
Soon the monsoon will shift just like it did from the Sahara
I won't leave no foot prints for you to remember that you were once prioritised, loved and cared for
Just like the Sahara it will be impossible to think that I once loved you, cried for you and always ran after you
Just like the dead grey sand crying for rain so you will for the love you don't appreciate now
Goodbye I am where I'm appreciated now.

Matimba Happy Baloyi Poem
Oh how I yearn yet words remain compacted
within my chest, a heavy silence lies;
through tender touch, through gaze, our
souls aligned
in soft embrace, love whispers "never dies."
I've read the secrets written in your eyes
I can't help but wonder if you've read my eyes
speak to me; let silence not disguise the love
we have for each other, the dreams we both believe
For days I've waited, longing for your voice
the sound that flutters my heart and brings me peace
if your voice could grace the air I breathe, I'd evermore rejoice
Oh my angel, with your melodic voice, heal this broken soul.
through distance, love took roots within my soul
hands can't reach you, yet my chest bust of good memories
