All Turns Silent in the Meadows

It was the strangest thing I saw that day.

A grassy grove and a man shouting mad

I didn't even know what to say.

His face was dragged down by his eyebags.

His feet slept on the dirt; twigs were the bed.

Reaching the sky at his wrinkled fingers end

Shouting "My heart is dry, so I ask from my head."

"What am I supposed to mend?"

"Their faces are what's left."

"The iron wind swept us all in the air, and their skin was far too fair, so thin that I heard every cleft."

"The shouting of others kept me awake, but now silence keeps me late."

"Why must I carry this weight? Why was the wind too stubborn to eat me and mark the others to their fate?"

In a blink and a bang, the man was lying on the grass.

His red eyes now ran back.

On his shirt were soggy sags and a wet mass.

My body was left thin on red, runny grass.

Crushed by the things I kept for him.

A flattened smile met my frown.

As I stared at the rusty wind that took me.

Over The Years

I
Wonder
How much time
Has passed since I
Decided to grow

Can I

Can I help at all
Careless tones plague my wording
I'm still learning how

I Can't Believe I Thought That

I can't believe I thought that.
Where did it even come from, oh god I feel like a rat.
I mean it just came out of nowhere
Waiting by, minding my own business then boom! I swear.
Jeez, I hope no one heard what I said
Wait, people can't read minds, at least I'd like to believe that instead
Oh jeez I hope no one can read minds, my inner voice is bad enough
If someone heard my thinking they'd make my face look rough
Okay shoot, know I have to hide but where
In a bush, in my house, hmmmm, in a Farris Wheel at the county fair
Oh man oh man oh man, that's it I have to change my name
Wonder what sounds cool though
Anything but James
I mean, I cant just be an open target like this or someone might eavesdrop near
Wait a minute, I'm on the toilet, no one's here.
Good lord that's a relief
I'm alone and cozy with my thoughts
Now no one will know that I hate big feet or that I think the government are robots

The ultimate language barrier

It's inconceivable
Unbelievable
My words were true and factual
Yet you didn't want to hear me full
I don't know why your being so stingy
Is it because your busy
You didn't hear be
Anything just tell me
That's it I'm going on my own
If you finally want to talk to me, you have a phone
I'll be fine, I'll get a loan
If I'm away, I'll feel less alone.

Sleep Is Death's Free Trial

Days are passing by
I am laying in my bed
When will I wake up

Rest in Power Kamehameha

After school on my TV screen you were there
Giving me power from my bullies or scratching my hair.
How can I forget how you looked, orange gi. Large biceps
It is unforgettable, common as commonsense
But oh, how painful must it have been to have your father gone
How it must of felt to watch his spirit move on
He was a slump, yet a genius, a father to 2 and a hero to the world
He changed the game, the system unfurled
He set standards, inspired the shows we watch
One can say he was super at his job, definitely top-notched
Inside our hearts he lit a spirit bomb,
One that would bounce in our bodies through night fall.
We watched and lived in those fights, every foe defeated
Until the robot and his fairy left our screens as we did.
So I say unto the world, let it be known
We can be united no matter sex, beliefs or skin tone
Because he did it with his drawings one man and a pen alone
So no matter if you watch it at 8pm on your TV or on your phone
You have seen the work by a legend only few ever really known
So yell it to the sky and have people gaze in awe
Rest in power, Kamehameha

Tonight, The Moon Looks Sad

Hazed, waddling back and forth.
I'm lost.
Can I catch up with the sun?
Or am I forever destined to befriend the moon.
I see may face reflecting on its surface.
Melancholic
Somber.
During the day, I'm left behind while the dogs are walked.
And the groups of friends are biking on the street
I try to catch up but trip on the sidewalk crevice.
Days go by as the sun and moon play jump rope in the sky.
I'm still lying sleeping on the cement.
Then I awake.
Tired.
Slow.
And blanked out of my mind.
Is this all I can really do when I'm alone.

I'm Sorry I Couldn't Be One For You

Same roof and you cried
I failed and I ruined us
My death makes amends
