All Turns Silent in the Meadows

It was the strangest thing I saw that day
A grassy grove and a man shouting mad
I didn't even know what to say
His face dragged down by his eye bags
His feet slept on the dirt, twigs were the bed
Reaching the sky at his wrinkled fingers end
Shouting "My heart is dry so I ask from my head"
"What am I supposed to mend?"
"Their faces are what's left."
"The iron wind swept us all in the air, and there skin was far too fair, so thin that I heard every cleft."
"The shouting of others kept me awake, but now silence keeps me late."
"Why must I carry this weight, why was the wind too stubborn to eat me, and mark the others to their fate?"
In a blink and a bang, the man was lying on the grass
His red eyes now ran back
On his shirt were soggy sags and a wet mass
My body was left thin on red runny grass
Crushed by the things I kept to himself
A flatten smile met my frown
As I stared at the rusty wind that took myself

I Can't Believe I Thought That

I can't believe I thought that.
Where did it even come from, oh god I feel like a rat.
I mean it just came out of nowhere
Waiting by, minding my own business then boom! I swear.
Jeez, I hope no one heard what I said
Wait, people can't read minds, at least I'd like to believe that instead
Oh jeez I hope no one can read minds, my inner voice is bad enough
If someone heard my thinking they'd make my face look rough
Okay shoot, know I have to hide but where
In a bush, in my house, hmmmm, in a Farris Wheel at the county fair
Oh man oh man oh man, that's it I have to change my name
Wonder what sounds cool though
Anything but James
I mean, I cant just be an open target like this or someone might eavesdrop near
Wait a minute, I'm on the toilet, no one's here.
Good lord that's a relief
I'm alone and cozy with my thoughts
Now no one will know that I hate big feet or that I think the government are robots

Over the years

I
Wonder
How much time
Has passed since I
Decided to grow

Can I

Can I help at all
Careless tones plague my wording
I'm still learning how

Can't rebuild

In my sense of dwarfish
I sought to fill the hole in
Myself with plain grass and cow dung
But know I see that the kinly love
I wish to carry and craddle
Is locked behind a curtain
That's old and full of tears
I mourn for it was
Me who slaughtered

The flame in the heart

Don't give them power
I, the fuel to my fire
Can walk out through dark

PLEASE HEAR ME

You don't seem to understand
The truth I clutch in my hands
I never wanted to hurt you
I just wanted to show my virtue
It's the only thing I can do

I'm on my floor laying dead
My heart knows what's good in my head
But my tongue is cursed to be lost
And your ears get the wired cross
I speak nonsense
My cries are business

I am dying
I am striving
But you don't hear
I am dying
I'm not lying
But you don't hear

How can grow tulips
If I mix the water with acid
I want you to know how I feel
I don't care if I cry, scream or squeal
Just please believe me

And I want the world to know
The love I have to give and what I can show
But if I can't do that right
Where's the receipt for my life
Because I want a refund

I am dying
I am striving
but you don't hear
I am dying
I'm not lying
But you don't hear

My hands are black like coffey
Because I murdered my serenity
The green light tells me to go
Along a mile that's walked alone
They don't feel me
They're all busy
But I don't blame them

I am not scum
I am just dumb
And they're wrong about me
I am dying
I'm not lying
But they don't hear me

I rather cut my heart in half
And a picture for my epitaph
Dead on the ground kneeling
Better than living with this shaky feeling
It's dragging me down
Cutting my veins and taking me to town

I'm yelling with my head in a box
Point and laugh at the exhibit they do that lots
But I'm a clueless that's all I know
It's how I live but it's my biggest foe

I am so hopeless
Even if I had a new mistress
I would fumble and she would leave me
That's all I can see me being

I am dying
I am striving
But you don't hear
I am dying
I'm not lying
But you don't hear

Just let me cut to the chase
An outcast from the human race
If I live long enough like how I've been
Then I'll end up in solitary confinement
But who's to say that's a bad thing
I cause problems, I'll own up to it the troubled king

I don't care about reputation
I just want you to hear my proclamation
And everytime I see their eyes
My soul prays for my demise
You can't see what's inside my head
So let me write it to you instead

Why try to them how my feeling lingers
When I can count those listeners on my fingers
What's the reason to have a mouth and a heart
When the two work leagues apart
Let it be known that I do love
And I wish I didn't have to show that from above

I am dying
I am striving
But you don't hear
I am dying
I'm not lying
But you don't hear

Rest in Power Kamehameha

After school on my TV screen you were there
Giving me power from my bullies or scratching my hair.
How can I forget how you looked, orange gi. Large biceps
It is unforgettable, common as commonsense
But oh, how painful must it have been to have your father gone
How it must of felt to watch his spirit move on
He was a slump, yet a genius, a father to 2 and a hero to the world
He changed the game, the system unfurled
He set standards, inspired the shows we watch
One can say he was super at his job, definitely top-notched
Inside our hearts he lit a spirit bomb,
One that would bounce in our bodies through night fall.
We watched and lived in those fights, every foe defeated
Until the robot and his fairy left our screens as we did.
So I say unto the world, let it be known
We can be united no matter sex, beliefs or skin tone
Because he did it with his drawings one man and a pen alone
So no matter if you watch it at 8pm on your TV or on your phone
You have seen the work by a legend only few ever really known
So yell it to the sky and have people gaze in awe
Rest in power, Kamehameha

Shakes and twist

Shaking like soda
It plunges my heart with claws
Assaults with its fist

No Duh

I feel it, can't hold my cigarette because my hand is shaking
My nerves are acting up but my feet are still and planting
Yeah I'm tense, I might faint but I'm not going to be failing
Yes, I'm stressed out but I'm obviously going to be winning
