Autistic and Mixed

In a world that is loud and bright,
one can struggle to make sense of sight.
Despite my mind being wired different,
It does not make me any less brilliant.

I am Autistic and Mixed, a distinctive blend,
An enigma that is difficult for some to comprehend.
While I view the world in a different light,
That is an aspect that makes me shine bright.

I may struggle with social signs,
But in my mind, that is fine.
When I concentrate on my passions,
I can achieve incredible milestones in any fashion.

Being Autistic and Mixed is a part of me,
A stunning tapestry that is tough to see,
But if you take time to understand
You will see a person with a heart so grand.

Do not stereotype me based on sight,
Take five minutes to learn about my life,
In the end, you will find a person who is civil and true,
Somebody who is just like you.

I hope that after reading about my life battles,
You see me as a human, not someone fragile.
Those racists, sexists, and ableists in disguise,
I implore you not to use your position to proselytize.

Father of Dark Literature: Edgar Allan Poe

The Raven caws in the eerie night,
And chills creep through the air.
As the father of dark literature takes flight,
To a place with fame and beyond misery,
The Raven's cawing takes flight silently.

His tales of Gothic horror fill the night
As his stories take a final, indelible flight
To a place of no light and eternal night
Where secrets and mysteries never die
His stories of darkness loom in the night

From this, he can't escape this notion.
The craze and blight of his visions,
They fill us with nightmares and fear.
We share his dark concept and unique art.
Like one of Poe’s stories, The Tell-Tale Heart,

The pendulum swings in the gloom,
A dreadful chill flows through the air,
As Poe’s stories fill the hallways and rooms.
The gloaming of his mind of night,
Creepy shadows and the dead loom,

His haunting words are so profound,
His tales of terror and dread,
The darkness of his Gothic visions,
His macabre words and dread,
As he crafts stories filled with dead.

Nagasaki Bombing

Nagasaki, the city of night,
A place of peace and light,
Where beauty is so sublime,
That it touches every heart of mine.
The people of this city,
Are filled with so much beauty.
That their resilience and strength,
Can never be forgotten nor silenced.

Nagasaki, a city of hope, a city of sorrow and pain,
Where the beauty of life, never ceases to thrive,
The city of peace, prosperity, and serenity,
Where we can all feel a part of humanity.
The devastation of that August 1945 day,
Left a scar that will never ever fade away.
We will keep it in our history and hearts,
And never forget what Fat Man has done.

Of a time before the war, the beauty of Nagasaki.
A city of sadness and despair, lives lost in a single air,
The memories of that fateful night, still lives in our minds,
The sadness and the suffering, grips us all in its harrowing binds.
The tragedy of the atomic bombing, will never ever be forgotten,
We will keep it in our history and never forget what Fat Man has done.

A trailblazer whose melodies never miss a unique beat.
She weaves art and songs like a soothing breeze.
Her fans are a loyal following of love and ardor.
Illustrated in the first track, Welcome to New York.

She’s got red lips, unique talent, and cat-like eyes.
She's a superstar who mesmerizes virtually everyone.
She may look like any singer-songwriter to anyone,
But beneath the singing, Style, and striking glamor
Lie is a superstar with a soul of eye-catching amber.

Despite the tenacious trolls, she's stood her ground.
In Taylor’s music, her dynamic activism is found.
She uses tales of love, heartbreak, and unique sound.
It’s like my favorite song from the album, Bad Blood.
Which describes both of my government teachers.

Her voice is a symphony of unique emotion,
Captivating hearts with pure devotion.
In her concerts and songs, we sing with adoration,
All You Have To Do Was Stay to admire her.
With every note, she paints a new song with grace.

From country roads to Clean sensational songs,
She’s a fearless woman, unafraid to speak her mind,
As she is a known supporter of March For Our Lives.
And an opponent of discrimination and police brutality.
And is a strong advocate for gun reform and feminism.

A singer and songwriter who is a fantastic icon.
Her songs and music are gifts that live on and on.
In our hearts, souls, and our Wildest Dreams,
She is a wondrous celebrity in her own way.
And her marks on the world will forever stay.

Taiwan's History

The diverse culture, the individuals’ pride and achievement,
Many can readily accept a lengthy and remarkable history.
Surrounded by beauty, democracy, and a land so vast,
The distinctive history of Taiwan will forever last.
From the Ming Dynasty to the imperialist rule of Japan,
Through the struggle of Nationalism, Taiwan began.

The bravery of the people, a lasting revolution in sight.
Amidst the turmoil, a beacon of distinctive and radiant sunshine,
The Republic of China is a government of energy and might.
The Republic stands well, no matter the obstacles or costs.
A peaceful country, prosperous, thriving, and strong,
The spirit of Taiwan will never go downfall or wrong.

From the mountains to the sea, the land is extraordinarily alive,
A vibrant population, my memories, and a culture to thrive.
The people of Taiwan, an illustrious and brave race,
A robust, differentiating, and noble nation in a peaceful place.
An ancient land so soaked in history, a history that never finishes.
Where tales of deep traditions still endure, filled with rich culture.

With stories that span through time, the spirit of Taiwan is strong,
People who fiercely define Taiwan's identity are far from wrong.
The heart of Asia, its resilience and courage, a nation so sublime.

Emmett Till

August 28th was a harrowing day,
The life of a black boy, taken away.
No justice was served to his killers,
The nation was shocked by his murder.

After being abducted by two white men,
He was repeatedly beaten and shot in the head.
Despite the harsh brutality and racial hatred,
Those devils were wrongfully acquitted.

His mother was infuriated at those racists,
His brutal demise was a barbaric injustice.
His memory is heartbreaking to explain,
His death ignited a momentous flame.

A victim of an infamous hate crime,
A boy who was full of valor and life.
Let’s all stand up against unfairness,
Like this brave boy who lived in prejudice.

Our hearts go out to his family and friends,
Remember his life before his callous end.
The lady who did this with a soul so heartless,
Had to live in the shame no one would forget.

His legacy will live on permanently,
Like the posthumous honors he received.
His killing was inhumane and horrific.
To this day, it’s still remorseless and tragic.

Seasonal Depression

Laughter echoes, summer times, joy takes flight.
Amazing times, love the daylight, joy reigns.
Never let go; summertime; is now fading.
Autumn chills, colors shrill, days get shorter.

Dark winter, quiet and cold, to the bones.
Emotions, rapture to sad, going saturnine.
Last summer, memories, now quite distant.

Radiant flowers bloom, despite the winter.
Enjoying spring, can’t wait for summer.
Yawning sunlight, woohoo! Summer is back!

Invisible Bloodbath: Tulsa Race Massacre

The story of a harrowing tragedy,
A race carnage of terror and atrocity.
A district that teemed with pride and achievement,
But a place of hatred for white supremacists.

With the terror and fear of those dark days,
The lives of hundreds were taken away.
When the bloodbath began to unravel and unfold,
It delivered black Tulsans actions so cold-blooded.

The cataclysm of what was done,
People’s rights taken, Greenwood, undone.
The tragedy and horror that filled the air,
The traumatized lives that none can repair.

The flames engulfed the businesses and residences,
Bringing death and demolition from all angles.
The Tulsa Race Massacre, a mephistophelian reminder,
That injustice and racism are permanent and can enter.

Even though the confirmed death count is 39,
Investigations say a total of 150-300 died.
The KKK ensured the event was left to be forgotten,
So many people don’t know about the mass execution.

We should bring awareness to Tulsa Race victims,
Like the slaying of black doctor A.C. Jackson.
And never racially profile those innocents,
Like the arrest and trial of Diamond Dick Rowland.

Her four kids make her life so robust and bold.
Her adventures in the world of Minecraft,
It has earned her a legion of fans in her plight.

Her heart is full of joy, and her spirit is strong,
A loving and devoted wife and mother all along.
Aphmau and Shuki, glowing beacons of light,
Her loyal fans adore her; they watch the light.

She is also known as Jess, a mother so bold,
She is married to Jason and a mother of four.
Her amazing fans, young and old, embrace her,

Being A Teacher

A teacher's spirit flows with unique beats,
A rhythm that flows with passion and repeats,
For every pupil who walks down the corridor,
A world of inspiration they hope to explore.

They greet each student with a smile so radiant,
Prepared to instruct, teach, and enlighten,
A love of education, through an open door,
A flame that ignites forevermore.

Their classroom is a canvas of possibilities,
Where visions are born and take flight with ease,
