It Could Help But Is Selfish

Gone today
Because the waves were leaving
The sound of my footsteps pressed in sand

A pink sky

What’s behind me is never seen again
Becoming detached diving in
Maybe it’s time

I can’t see my body
Not a dream or nightmare

“Tell me, Truth. Was your disappearance filled with
shame?”

As the echoes ripple,
There’s nothing to hold onto
A sky with no sound
with water darker than night

Pulling away from this fear,
Letting my arms break free
I’m now in a maze with no corners,
lost with no borders

Gone today,
my quiet voice
I could stay here forever, I feel everything

Floating. The ocean swaying with the wind
My compass, I hear your whispers like a
promise
