Neha Sembian Poem
purple skies, they write to me
take your time, i know this is scary.
what is my story
where is my movie
whatever's happening to me
lovesick and lost in a purple city
get me my sunshine
two blocks of sugar with extra whipped cream
golden retriever smelling like fresh print
for I'm lovesick and lost in a purple city
midnights in october
sky's a blank canvas
painting my way to the sunrise
serene is the silence that lives.
colours of wonder
colours of joy
colours of hardwork and colours of life
purple skies and purple lives
silver linings on a dark night.
cotton candy immature little lady
too sweet to crumble too quiet to cry
the scent of coffee bringing sanity
claiming to be a fairytale
cozy sweaters as we're nearing the end
the end is only the beginning
we skip through the bends
purple madness and purple cries
streaks of gold above they glide
rays of sunlight crawling to my side
it's a purple feeling of a purple sky
calligraphy on purple clouds
meant to be letters from a secret scout
smiles of a puppy
make me so happy
for I'm lovesick and lost in a purple city

Neha Sembian Poem
I would set myself on fire just to keep you warm
I'd burn down all the bridges and be of no harm
I will walk away from everything that's mine
I won't try to make you stay, sure I'll be fine

Neha Sembian Poem
we're all different people
with all different skies
one's pink, one's orange
one's a dark purple night
we're all different people
with all different skies
it is what it is, is it?
or are we just shy?
we're all different people
with all different skies
someone's bright day
must be someone else's night

Neha Sembian Poem
singing songs out loud in the open
loving life even when it's broken
hating how easy it can be
for people to walk all over me
screaming at screens
dying in dreams
tearing me down dreadfully
there's too much to give
I can't hold it in
but my cup is empty
nobody's willing to help me
where must i go
who must i seek
for all the strength must come from within me
what do I do
it hurts massively
I love love but love doesn't love me.

Neha Sembian Poem
i was once a little girl
that girl wouldn't shed a tear
she was strong and brave and madly courageous
she stuns me, every year
she was made of steel
a heart of diamond
loving like many, but it wouldn't be too obvious
she was everything she had to be, and more
she was everything she knew she'd never be once more
that little girl
stood straight and steady
even when the storm was too heavy
it was all roses and vines
until she grew up to have a life like mine

Neha Sembian Poem
strength they call her fondly
she's courage to some
i hold her hand, let her in
let her show me who i shall be
i hold her hand, let her in
let her guide me through the thorny scene
she stayed, with regret
hidden in neat folds of guilt
she held grief, letting broken trust be built
she held softness, she held peace
strength they call her fondly
she's courage to some
she's me to me, she has always been.
