Some One Poem
In the summer
When the sky is clear
The stars are more my home
Than my own bed
The stones and flora
Whisper my name
In the breeze
The water is warm
Silver springs call me
In the summer
My skin thaws
And my bones ache
For something less
Than ordinary
In the summer
I understand
How pagans
Came to be

Some One Poem
You have not yet learned how to scream
Nor shout or yell or call
You have learned how to bottle
Pouring wines from your fingertips
You are a vineyard of emotions
Anger plucked too early from the vine
Is the sourest crop you grow here
But guilt is your most popular flavor
You sell a wine called "The Seven Sins"
You had no idea fermented fear would sell so well
It fills your head with whispers or addicts
But customers love the adrenaline aftertaste
I'd like to buy your vineyard, please
I'd like to burn it to the ground
I'd like to set the "no talking" sign aflame
And I'd like to hear you scream
As your life work falls to ash and smoke
I'd like to hear you scream
Please, I beg, learn how to scream.

Some One Poem
I think I'll die by suffocating
That's what I tell you in the conversation
We'll never have
Because you don't exist
Sorry
It's one of the worse ways to go
Pleading with the universe for any air
My brain would be screaming
And all I can do is listen as it yells
And all I can say is
Sorry
I didn't want this to happen
But sometimes I chew on cotton
And I run out of water
And sometimes I swallow wrong
And there's an air bubble in my throat
And I think I'm going to die
So to my brain
Sorry

Some One Poem
When you ask me about myself,
I will take note of your lack of eyes,
Because you have no eyes,
I will tell you all my secrets
I will tell you how I wish on stars,
And how for years I thought
The universe voted against me
So I used opposites to trick her.
I will tell you how I clench my teeth
While I untangle a ball of yarn
How I whisper promises to my plants
The same way I wish someone would me.
I will tell you I am not a violent person
But I feel best when throwing a punch
How I hold a pocket knife in my fist
How I don't think I would hesitate to use it.
I will tell you I feel safest in sound waves
But my fingers trip on each other
Yet my tongue is my clumsiest feature
And my brain is no help on the matter.
I will tell you so many secrets
Hundreds of the thousands I've collected
Because you do not have eyes,
Because I do not know you.

Some One Poem
Sunlight glints off polished silver
A river reflects in its face
Water tinted a reddish hue
Sweeps along the scythes base
But iron and silver do not meet
Until the blade swings toward a rock
The wooden handle now rots there
With both bodies the river has caught

Some One Poem
Today I'll build myself a wreath
I'll buy the floral tape
I'll hunt for pines and mistletoe
I'll bend them into shape
Today I'll play a Christmas song
I'll find the merry tune
I'll sing for joy and family love
I'll play on for the moon
Today I'll bake a Yule log cake
I'll work tirelessly
I'll work out chocolate ganache years
I'll make you candied sleep
Today I'll hold my family close
We'll gather 'round the fire
I'll tape my eyes and try to find
Ways out of mad desire
Today I'll search for hours on end
I'll make it all okay
But I still know, when it comes
I'll forget Christmas day

Some One Poem
I want to be a writer
I want words to worm their way
Out of the outer oblivion orchard
Where I pick pink pieces of my mind.
I want to be a poet
I want poppies picked perfectly preserved
From the consciously created cracks of concrete
Found situated solidly in separated stanzas.
I want to be a singer
I want sounds seeping from senseful songs
Instead of trapped tearing at my terrible tongue
As my vocals vanquish my volatile vocabulary.
Unfortunately, the aforementioned is abandoned due to abysmal accidents.

Some One Poem
Tonight the stars shine in a way that is devastating
Because they are the cursor blinking steady on my screen
The inky background the cursed shine lays upon
Steals the very words from my fingertips
This act of thievery expands full throttle
Searching
Down
Down
Down
I choke on a vine of thorns trailing my vocal chords
As I feel my words vanish from my throat
My tongue is still tangled from the last robbery
When the vibrations fell flat off the percussion in my ear
I don't think my thief realises it was an offering for them
I hope the Universe deems this a good offering
And I hope the Sky does not target your brilliance next

Some One Poem
Picture yourself in a room
Full of everything you love
Everything you need
Everything you desire
Now imagine the room filling with snakes
Or spiders or slime or fog
Whatever makes you choke
Whatever drives you mad
Whatever it is, it's filling the room
Covering your items
Crawling up your legs
Despite your best efforts
You cannot wipe it off your items
You cannot exterminate it at all
Day by day, your heart sinks into the mess
One day, you notice a door
On the other side of the room
Clear of the mess
A way out of the fear
You can make out a sign on the door
"You may enter this door once
It will disappear behind you
Only once. Only you."
The sign is disappointing, sure
But all of life has its conditions
It's pro and con, yin and yang
Picking the least evil.
What's worse?
To leave all it is that you love?
Or to watch as it's corrupted?
To watch pollution spread
Until you can't look anymore?
To walk into the unknown?
Or to stare at the hauntingly familiar?
The choice is yours.
What would you do?

Some One Poem
Today I woke up colorblind
My wake up call was gray
I shuddered at my purgatory
It shuddered the same way
I got up, found my state of ruin
We chatted over tea
It dug into my heavy heart,
My soul it seeked to glean
A shame I woke up colorblind
And tomorrow I will too
For I miss the loving shades of green
Of yellow and of blue
