When The Universe Said I Love You
“And the Universe said I love you”
I read with raw red eyes
Because I’ve made it past the End
And I haven’t lost my life
Because if the end is not my given
And I’m not immortal to the touch
And uncertainty is crucial
Well, no thank you very much
I told the universe “I love you”
But I do not like your plans
And she smiled very sadly
She had hoped I’d understand
She stole my gaze with the breeze
She said she’d like to make a bet
And she whispered me her wishes
Her words I can’t forget
She said “My dear, you are so young
And while I feel your pain
Immortal life is heavy
And death isn’t for your gain."
She said “So if you do not squander
Your life before your time
I’ve leave a secret in your path
A breath you need to find.”
While I took her words with caution
I must admit, I was intrigued
So for now, I will keep looking
On the promise
The Universe loves me.
