Paw Prints On My Heart

Each time you look into my eyes
I cry a little as I embrace the soft kisses on my cheek
For you are there from when I wake up until I go to sleep
Watching over me in every possible way
My Fur Face
How I love you are so unconditional and pure
your love won't ever leave
Even when time is cruel and against your side
Your memory is what will help keep you always alive
I take the knowledge you won’t always wag your tail
Some days like humans oh my furry friends you will feel down
You will grow old
Such a short life span with you in my arms
As you lick away the tears
As you reassure my fears
Don't worry furry friends
The cat and dog that enrich my lives
You left nothing when you go
Yet something so attainable that will last for all eternity
Paw Prints on My Heart

Wouldn'T Change a Thing

Don't bring me flowers
You know they will die
Only last for a short while
It seems that way with time, doesn't it?
We blink and we have already lost an hour
It seems we desire a minute to go so slow
So we can relish each others dreams

Talk to me for days on end
I want to sort out your mind
Learn all your twists and turns
Find out why your heart beats with mine
why we sway together, it's obvious I believe

You took me into shelter
From the rain
You took away my darkness
and kept me sane

Loved me endlessly there is no bounds
No boundary to cross over
Just a span of fields
I feel like you gave me a crown

We may not have much
We were born to be in despair
We battle our minds frequently
If you saw you would see we sometimes weren't all there

We don't have money to claim
No name written for fame
We don't even have an out at our age

One day we will cross a bridge that can't keep us separate from a home
We will be cozy
Not much but floors to dance on

It's enough for me
I wouldn't change a thing

I Can Still Hear You Breathe

The Rain slowly starts to fade
The Drops soon turn to dust
I know you were rest to lay
Forever in God's arms
I try to reason how long it will take
To reassure this broken heart
That time has reasoning and I will mend
As I picture you without pain

Let your journey be of one with ease and stillness
Into a quiet light that welcomes and invites
Sudden Change
You are no longer here
Yet I know my tears will dry
You are OK

Let the rain quiet down
Let the sunshine come out to play
I can feel you near
I can still sense the presence of your warmth
Call me not wanting to let go
Yet I know as tragic as it may be
I can still hear you breathe

Beauty Stains

Flowing down your sleeves
Winding around your wrists
So firm your grasp
So intense your passion for a kiss
Your knowledge reeks of intelligent sophistication
Yet your goofy grin tells me there is still a child within
Your lips are intercepting into mine
I can’t define the marks now leaving traces on your body
Beauty Stains

Villain

Villain
How did you embrace me in your shadow?
Causing this temper rage
Starting this fire to spread out of control
I was burning all of their bridges; breaking their mold. With the belongings of the riches
that were once owned, so I could call them my own.
I watched them bleed in desperate needs creating their paths in tears
I stole their stones and did I find myself in their falter?
Villain
How do you become faceless?
You are faceless in the outskirts of their crowd and hide in your barren field?
They were looking like I had no soul
Distant in their approval of where I once was loved
Villain
How do you dim the pain?
It was shone and cast upon my face
Illuminating my broken heart the pieces scattered where I once remained
Villain
How do you give mercy to your soul?

One Last Melody

Sing me a melody before you turn the key to the doorknob
Sing me one last rhythm before you get your bags
Remind me why you once stayed
Why you once cherished me in every way
So sing me a melody before you fade away
The melody doesn’t have to be soft
It can be so bittersweet
Just play one note to not be forgotten
I promise then I will let you leave
Sing me a melody, rhythmic harmony
Then I promise it will be easier for both of us to part

The Loss of Innocence

One day you said you would be leaving
You would go away like you always had planned
I was just a foolish bystander to not understand
The pain of all silly games we played
I know I had you deep inside somewhere
Where we still played and would hide
I know I had you forever embedded somewhere in my soul
Then you were gone
I felt as if the earth started to shake
An earthquake is it what caused this fragile heart to break?
Or was it simply the loss of our innocence
We were no longer young
Where it seemed life with you would always go on
Now we have grown to many ways
To desperate to stay where we are standing now
So you packed and left
I felt as if I was knocking on Hell's door
Give me all the pain
I deserve more
Yet angels still do whisper in my ear from time to time
Let it go
Happiness can’t be bought or taken
It is what it is when we feel ourselves no longer broken
Even with the loss of innocence

You

I fell enchanted by the beauty of your deep mesmerizing eyes
They were so dark and intense of a pale blue hinted hue of green
You had a contagious laugh as we laughed until we cried
Oh you had to hold your sides, so funny you and I
We sang all night making up lyrics that didn’t rhyme
I could have sworn though you played that guitar in perfect time
Moments those were not stolen by the evil clock
I feel so enlightened when you hold me near
No cold could get through this tight grip of ours
Nothing to chill the chest and or make the fever temperate
We are one intertwined
I fell into
You

Dearest Love

Vivid colors enchant the tongue
To which we both understand
To take a plunge into eternity
Laughter rings off our ears
As jokes are flying, to rid the tears
Rejection comes in all sorts of forms
Letters, and even unspoken words
I find that the best is what we all simply forgot
Honesty
So hold out your hand to mine
As we make sure we are never to be transparent
In a world of crowds and foolish games
It was never you and I participating
What we have is real
So don't forget that when the end is near
When we can't take a suitcase full of money and objects
Just what we brought into this world with just the two of us
Dearest Love

When You Are Not Here

The world is so pale when you are not here
So ghastly white and sickly green
I swear the people aren’t even what they seem
The world is so fragile
The sidewalk will crumble and break with each step that I take
When you are nowhere in sight
The skies are no longer blue they are black
So vividly dark as my mood when you are taken ill
I feel the pain you thrived on for many days afterwards still
The scenery stays the same
Yet I feel the change of the weakest knees and trembling shoulders
When you aren’t around to keep me sturdy.
I mourn when you are not here.
So get better soon, find a will and a way to survive the afternoons
Because for now the shades are fading in and out and I am growing more transparent
We are one so without you
I am also not here
