One Last Melody

Sing me a melody before you turn the key to the doorknob Sing me one last rhythm before you get your bags Remind me why you once stayed Why you once cherished me in every way So sing me a melody before you fade away The melody doesn’t have to be soft It can be so bittersweet Just play one note to not be forgotten I promise then I will let you leave Sing me a melody, rhythmic harmony Then I promise it will be easier for both of us to part
