A story to tell
An answer to all
Why do I feel
Like I'm going to fall
Standing up straight
My head to the clouds
Walking without guides
Because I'm too proud
I lean to the left
And can't keep my feet
I reach to the right
And fall to the street
I thank God for life
And feeling the ground
And knowing that I too
Can finally be found

Basil Leaf Poem
To put into words the feeling evoked
The pull of the sounds whether sung or spoke
When attached to a tone, a note, or a tune
Fills my body with a fervor that I never knew
Half a century of living my soul was without
The sensory feeling that emits from ones mouth
My eyes they were open, my ears they did hear
But nothing like I have experienced this past year
The notes play right through me
The sounds strum my soul
My heart is a drum, my brain loses control
Born again has never held so much meaning
Didn't know it could mean a change in a feeling
My soul is renewed, my spirit reclaimed
As the meaning of music did self-explain.

A feeling unknown until it is and can never be unknown again
Your soul being born into flesh
And then again when it’s released
Feelings all known from times past, but new to now
Feelings that are recognizable like a child to it’s parent, the sun to the sky
Touched by parts of you that know parts of me I didn’t know existed
To be awakened by a star so bright it blinds every star it shines to
How this lifetime has been re-railed and set on its right path now leading safely home
Never to be lost again
