Calamity

Earth's final day came unexpected
It wasn't heralded, nor was it detected
The skies suddenly bled with starry rain
And everything living started to feel pain.

All lands and crops begun to decay
Then human flesh rotted and grayed
As planes from our skies started to fall
The feeling of horror dawned on us all.

Every believer begged their gods, lost
Looking for answers at any cost
In order to glimpse beyond the veil
To strengthen their hope that was so frail
The horns of apocalypse roared from south to north
But it wasn't angels that then came forth.

The Beasts of Calamity descended with one order
To kill and tear, respecting no border
No law, no pleading, no prayers too
With each moment their hunger grew
To every human their rage was drawn
And there was no running from this hellish spawn.

It seemed that the gods have left us to die
Their benevolent protection simply a lie
As moon above with crimson flared
With thousands of eyes it quietly stared
At our demise, terror and fall
As death came and conquered all.

Motley Crew of Corpses

One Summer night, just around dawn
A Motley Crew came to town
But there was something that filled with dread
They were all very dead.

The folk scattered to all sides
Escaping dead of all kinds
Skeletons and Zombies too
Some jokingly howling "Booo".

And so madness has begun
"Scaring people is so fun!"
"We will get you very soon!"
Roared the monsters to the tune
Of screams and chaos all around
This small and usually tranquil town.

With each bite their numbers grew
That's recruitment for this Crew
People hid, where they could
Be it house or shack of wood

Makeshift weapons were made in haste
No deadly object thrown to waste
Every owner of a gun
Got a chance of crazy fun

Those that were too scared to fight
Begged the others with all might
"Someone call an exorcist!"
"No, an army! I insist!"

But the army wasn't worried
The town just had to be buried
So they sent their pilot ace
Who flew over and bombed the place.

Two Worlds

Welcome, to the realm of wonder
Meaning an alley around the corner
Of a market street, where Kings and Queens
Satisfy their needs by monetary means
While they live on Eden plains
We wear fitted "Outcast" chains.

But we have King of our own
Midas, with a touch of gold
Wandering worker is what he is
And Back-Alley Kingdom is all his
We're the people of his nation
That spreads from here to train station
Which is around twenty blocks
Soon it might reach even docks.

There are rules on streets to abide
Since our and Royalty's world's collide
And blend into one, so heed what I say
Because be it hard as it may
Making peace with the "gods"
May increase our odds
Of surviving in this Kingdom of Chrome
That all of us, in union, can call home.

Imaginary Friend

Tim was lonely as a child
Tranquil, timid and quite mild
He was considered as weird
But that wasn't what he feared.

He saw people that were dead
Monsters hid under his bed
Voices whispered in his brain
Everyday he was less sane.

Below the surface of his mind
Something of sinister kind
Started to control the boy
Playing with him like a toy.

It lied to him every time
With a merry, joyful rhyme
"Without me you're gonna die.
Come on! Trust me! Friends don't lie!
I'm everything you'll ever need.
With my power you won't bleed
You won't break, nor will you fear!
I'll protect all you hold dear.
We'll be one until it ends.
After all, we are best friends!"

Soon, the whispers in his ear
Boy believed to be sincere
So with friendship as a cost
He became the demon's host.

Trust

Real power lays in trust,
Without it the gold would rust,
Without it the sky would fall,
For it matters above all,
In relations of all kind,
Trust can bring the peace of mind.

Funeral

My mind drowns in the sound of rain
Trying to focus, clouded with pain.

One step at a time, I follow the procession
Despite what's to come I've a sad expression
Because it's a funeral of the very "I"
A ceremony to finally say goodbye
It's a chance to recall my past
And let go of what has passed.

I'm alone, except the crows
That seemingly in movement froze
And calmly watched my death's parade
As the trees around us swayed.

Now I truly feel forsaken
Even demons sleep, unshaken
Not one angel plays their horn
Now an outcast, I'm reborn.

All ambitions left behind
With just one dream in my mind
To finally leave my lonely shroud
And be, until my last breath, proud.

Sun shines through the clouds at last
As the rain eventually passed
Now my mind rests, all pain gone
While I gaze at new day's dawn.
