Love Many But Trust a Chosen Few

For people, like lake waves, can change their hue,
Chameleons, shifting colors and guise,
Like snakes, shedding truth for deceitful lies.

A handle on an axe, loose and askew,
They'll turn on you, causing pain undue.
They praise with ladders, then swiftly take away,
Reveling in your troubles, as if in play.

Clouds that fail to forewarn the rain,
They surprise us with problems, causing strain.
In times of need, they'll run to your side,
But stand for elections, and they'll hide.

At funerals, they feign sympathy and care,
Yet, secretly delight in your despair.
They'd rather see you beneath, not above,
Envious hearts brimming with ill-wished love.

But remember, there's one truest friend,
Whose love and care will never end.
God stands beside you through thick and thin,
Wiping each tear, healing from within.

In this world of shifting tides and lies,
God's love remains constant, a priceless prize

Citizen of Lamentation

This world seems not my home, It’s just a vacuum full of disappointments!
Where you do good for the fellows and be repaid nothing.
Be their witness for their win, them witness for you to be in prison.
You drag them from a small hole of insects, them ready to push you into a den of lions.
Give them gold jewelry for beauty, them smear you with mud for you to look funny.
Educate their children for a bright future, them to kill yours to die desperate.

I feel like there is nothing else in my heart except excessive pain.
It raises when I take a breath, does not allow me to sleep and enjoy.
Rather it just clings and screams and rather takes away my attention.
When I try to forget about the intimidations and humiliation of the people I entrusted,
All my muscles, and bones, my beautiful heart, brain and organs undergo ischemia.
My body thinks I deserved them because I would have observed how they treated me.

But where are the people that I helped? Why this hatred, rival and enmity?
I stand alone in this deepest grief and pain, though pitfalls gape and yawn!
There is no one to lend me a helping hand, so all hope seems useless and in vain.
No help is mine, all bridges burned, all that I own is in pawn.
This is my time of shedding off my tears, cry more and later comfort myself.

I wish Jesus was still on this earth, at least I would be happy!
He would be on my side so that when I cry, he cries, as I laugh, he laughs.
He would be holding my shoulder right now and even comforting me.
I wish I was still n the womb so that I escape such events,
Where I am desperate, mentally disturbed and traumatized.
Anyway I am a lamenting citizen on this planet, it’s not what I deserved.

Childhood Stubbornness

Like the identical twins, I was confusing.
Like the strong lion in a jungle, I was scaring.
Like the hunger at night, I was disturbing.
Like a big debt, I made them have sleepless nights.
Like the Holy spirit and apostles, I made them to speak many languages

Why would I do all that nonsense?
Am totally disappointed in my own self.
Why made my parents regret of producing me?
I don't know what to do to make them forget my childish!
For sure I did alot of fake wonders.

I usually wonder! What they would be thinking about me those times?
Giving me school fees that I would enjoy with my friends!
Introducing to them different girlfriends everyday!
Ever standing on my rule of tit for tat for the bad!
And tat for tit in the right situation!

Alot of thoughts are disturbing my mind.
When I remember I'll also have my own children!
Who may adopt my genes and characteristics!
Already planning either to be a sad or happy parent.
But all in all, children are a gift from God
That shows our reproductive capability.

A Narrow Tunnel

I am still in a brain wave if I am dreaming, Because My eyes are blind now,Even the ears are deaf and the taste buds inactive.Even though I am pretending in front of my friends,I have inner tears of men shedding out.

It’s not just a dream but a fact, my world seems different nowBecause My eyes are soaked with tears now oh God. I am feeling pain from the bottom of my shattered heart, I feel like my mind is over tired due to overthinking,Just altered psychology associated with insomnia.

I am in a narrow tunnel suffocating my life,They say Daniel survived all the hungry lions in the den,But me this is going to affect me negatively.Lord look at me with pity oh!God don’t forsake me please.

Why do such hard situations occur in these trying moments? Its only agony and sorrows defining my situation now.As my tears can’t give out a solution to this.

My hopes and dreams seem to be washing away,No matter my future goals seen failing, thus no fulfillment of my achievements.

God! why should this happen to me your servant? Not a Sunday when I was singing for you hymns, praises and worships,That they steal money of a poor student like me,In such a difficult situation where I need food and accommodation.Anyway, it’s you oh lord to make a way where seems no way.

The Evil Changing World

Birds nolonger sing in the air and trees!
Stars stopped lighting in the darkness!
Same applies to the moon at night.
Even the sun covered by the strong clouds during day.

The earth is filled with ozone layer, we are in a hot blanket!
Excess heat that cold fumes will do nothing!
Fire is too much with no need of extinguishers!
Large water bodies are ready to swallow us," the seas and oceans."

Slavery in the land of Egypt ready is back.
To carry away our honey and bees from this beautiful land of Canaan!
There is no Moses no Aron no Joshua, Even Angels of heaven have given up!
All of us are Pharaohs, Judas Iscariot and Pilate.

Why is the world changing from day to day?
Showering you love today, killing you tomorrow!
Praising you yesterday, rejecting you today.
Friends and apples of their eyes tomorrow,
The other day you are champion enemies.

Are we in the race of showing enemity?
Is it the right time for us to use our bibles as pillows?
Aren't we betraying the one that died for us?
As if we are full of thoughts of taking him back to the cross!

This is the time that we need to come back to God,
Birds will sing, stars, moon and sun will light the earth again
Ozone, heat and fire will go off and anything that swallowed us gonna spit us.
The enemies gonna be friends
And that will be His time of coming back, I mean the saviour.

The Avian Beauties

Amidst the woods, there existed exquisite birds,
Warbling melodiously upon trees with rhythms that charm,
Their vibrant hues reminiscent of a festive evergreen,
Meticulously adorned within the forest's arboreal realm, akin to celebration adornments.

The Parent of Irony

I know labour pains are massiveBut carrying pregnancy for nine months is also very hard,No matter the conditions it can bring out,You feel greedy, you refuse the foods that you love,Others arbort you hear about them but you allow yours to continue,You advise a person that repeats mistakes but you don't give up,I've ashamed you many times but you still cover me with nice information outside there,I love you mom.

Love's Embrace

Some may deem me lost, my mind astray,
But clarity resides within this soul each day.
They may see weakness where strength resides,
Yet I stand tall, unwavering, with silent pride.

Pity not this vessel that you behold,
For within beats a heart, compassionate and bold.
Though sorrow may shimmer in these eyes of mine,
'Tis empathy that flows, a river divine.

They may surmise hunger, an empty core,
Yet contentment fills me, abundance galore.
Thirst shall not haunt, for I'm nourished within,
With love's sweet nectar, a soul drenched in kin.

No outer turmoil disturbs this serene frame,
For love's gentle touch shields me from all shame.
In its tender embrace, I find solace and grace,
A refuge unyielding, a sanctuary in space.

So judge not my demeanor, my outward guise,
For love weaves its tapestry, where truth truly lies.
In the depths of my being, love's essence does thrive,
A flame everlasting, eternally alive.

Strengthen Me Oh Lord

Oh my beloved Jesus, let me hasten to your embrace! For pains, sorrows, troubles, and stress engulf my existence. The seas surge, thunderous roars, and storms wreak havoc,Beneath your sheltering wings, shield me from their relentless assault.Guide me unwaveringly until I ascend with you, basking in eternal bliss.Nowhere else can I seek refuge, but in you and your resolute words that fortify my heart during times of turmoil.I rely on you, my impenetrable fortress and my safeguard.Never forsake me, for I shall have no guardian amidst these trying moments,As the people of this world have undergone negative transformations,Yet I hold steadfast to the unchanging beauty of your divine word.Your mercy abounds, unlike fallible mortals who withhold forgiveness,But we, as humans, fail to recognize this and subject you to crucifixion once more—such a lamentable fate for my Savior on the cross. It is through your boundless mercy that we conquered the grip of sin, through the shedding of your blood on the cross.Revive those disheartened and despondent, plagued by fears of exams, tuition, worldly stress, sickness, and poverty. You are holy, and forever shall you remain so.Oh God, you are the savory broth, the refreshing wellspring,The delight of my existence, the pillar supporting my feeble life. You mend my troubles, slay my stress, and forever work miracles to strengthen me.You are the Almighty, the God of wonders and marvels,And I shall forever extol your name.TURYAGUMANAWE MATHIAS

A Kiss of Rebirth

Once, I tumbled into a dam,
My mind adrift, disconnected from the world,
They assumed my life had ceased,
Yet, your touch of life revived me.

Although named a "kiss of life,"
Truly, it held healing power within,
An embrace of restoration,
And what lingers in my memory,
Is how it tasted like the sweetest nectar.
