They Say He's a Loser

They say he's a loser,
But you don't know him the way I do.

No one wants to sit next to him in class,
All because he writes too much.
But you don't know him like I do.

He writes about his late mother,
Telling her how much he misses her,
And how he's becoming stronger every day.

No one wants to sit with him at lunch,
All because he brings weird food.
But you don't know him like I do.

His family is poor,
And his dad can't afford enough food,
But he doesn't mind.
He's grateful for what he has.

No one wants to play with him at recess.
All because he is not fast nor strong.
But you don't know him like I do.

He has a disability.
This makes it hard to do everyday things.
But he works through the struggle every change he gets.

They say he's a loser,
But in reality, he's not.
