Mine Again

I chose picture A. My word count is 116 words.

Distance pulled us away
And I didn’t know what to say
So I said all the wrong things
And I pulled on your heartstrings
But I didn’t mean to rip them apart
The ghost from my past
Made this go way too fast
I hoped it would last
But now you seem better than before
And I wish I could’ve done more
If you were mine again
You would open up my mind again
The stars would align again
I saw your face in the clouds
The wind spoke so loud
Your voice eased its way through the crowds
I was so proud of all that you’ve done
But you just wanted to run

Haunted By the Wildflowers

"The forests are my bones" that I was trapped in
I cried every tear in my body for you
But all you did was let me down
Oh this paper town
Is crumbling down once again
I’m haunted by the wild flowers
What isn’t sweet is sour
I’m haunted by your power
You pushed me off the tower
And into the wild flowers
You hid behind your lies
Disguised in a smile
I was with you for a while
And I tried to ask if you were mine
But you changed the subject every time
