Holding You Tight

How does one keep bad thoughts at bay,
And keep the fuzzy memories away?
Find a tale in the night,
Hold it near and hold it tight.

Nothing Mystical or magic,
Nor too calm or sporadic.
It can be a person near,
To help you rest and calm the fear.

Can be funny, can be nice,
Overall a large but worthy price.
This person's smile radiates,
Then the problems dissipate.

Somebody else joins the mix,
You feel like it's broken but what to fix?
You feel a presence drift away,
But things'll be better the next day.

They never came back you've been waiting for years,
Their long lasting absence has confirmed all your fears.
Your laying awake no tale at night,
You wanted to hold them close, to hold you tight.

Rumour

Rumours, as close as a heart,
Deadlier than tumours,
They attack to a victim,
Hurl them down
It can hurt anyone,
even when they are in town,
It follows them everywhere,
Screaming out loud,
"Your a disgrace!
Your parents shouldn't be proud!"
But these are just rumours,
Harmless you think,
They are deadlier than tumours,
And I've had enough of it!

Heartstrings

The Unholy sky,
In the middle of the night,
Breaking through heartstrings.

Favourable Coma

The person stuck on that memorable throne,
They are not too immune,
Twitching with suspicions,
A knife behind their back,
Soon they will be by your side,
A partner ready to behead,
Constant checks, Lonely Medicine,
The pool of influence,
Followed by infection,
The recovery time is raw,
Developing more than before,
The morale of their greatest actions,
Only a fraction of their innocent mind.

Bitter Lover

Ever heard of a Bitter Lover?
They are generally sweet but like no other,
They topple the towers with their cunning,
And make you scared so you continue running,
The theory of why they are like this is,
They said fair well and buried their pleasantness,
They are always roaming the oiled bridge,
On the edge of the secure well-rehearsed ridge,
Creating rituals to conceal mysteries,
Floating and drifting between many beliefs,
Yet they go and ask another,
Ever heard of a Bitter Lover?

Detached Wagon

A heavy load, on your back,
Let it go, just relax,
It's not your weight,
It's all the others,
Pushing their traits,
Onto their lovers,
It's not just you that has this weight,
Millions of others bare it every day,
People throw their flaws and tell you 'have em!'
But just let go, it's a detachable wagon.

Altered Demeanor

He skips in
With a large happy grin
Full of himself
He continues walking in
The sun is shining
The sky is clear
All his worries disappear.

He walks in
with a stale simple look
Confused by himself
He stops at the door
Rain is patting down the windows
Light clouds in the sky
His worries begin to appear once again.

He stutters in
With a small noticeable grin
Not sure anymore
He walks back out
Heavy rain is attacking the windows
Dark clouds in the sky
His worries are much stronger than before.

He never showed up
Didn't even show his face
Completely carefree
He never showed up
The sun is shining
The sky is clear
And all his worries have disappeared.

Eclipse

The Dark embrace of an eclipsal moon,
Is not a feeling that'll come too soon,
It's a sight to see, that's for sure,
It can unite friends or wage a war,
It's heavy and worth it's weight in gold,
It's dark and makes all terrain turn cold,
Soldiers fight hours on end for this wealth,
Not caring about the negative effects done to their health,
Beaten homeless beggars, to the selfish paranoid rich,
All want this wealth, deadlier than the curse of a witch,
It's faster than a Cheetah, hits harder than bricks,
All this happens in the duration of the Eclipse.

Freedom

Even when I'm the happiest I've been,
Everything is black and white like a 1960's television screen,
People hate my presence unless they are nice,
They think I'm happy...but I pay a big price,
I'm a ling-lasting burden, hatred follows me,
People think I'm happy, joyful and carefree,
But they are wrong, I'm not that strong,
This mound of depression lasts too long.

God I wish I had freedom to do what I want,
To frolic and jump and run around a mock,
But I have no freedom,
My mask holds me down,
It hooks me to fake happiness,
And I feel too much loneliness.

I'm my own full nation,
I thought I controlled my own laws,
But it's decided by the people,
That point out my flaws.

I want to be free,
I want to run,
I want to talk,
I want to have fun,
I wish to reset,
And I wish to fly,
But my darkest thought is,
I just want to die.

Colour Theory

Blue is seen as a colour of sorrow,
Like artist’s hearts when the criticism hollow,
I used to see the colour blue that way too,
But then I gained a new thought, one that sticks like glue.

Blue is usually infectious and dark,
Like when somebody cries it fills your heart,
With the sadness and pain they have felt and now shared,
And suddenly your life seems in despair,
But I no longer see the colour blue that way,
Because a bright shining blue scares away the grey,
Because I know that when it starts to darken and rain,
Blue will come by and take away the pain.

Now others may see blue as a negative colour,
But to me blue is as amazing as the nicest summer,
And this blue is not a colour but a person I know,
Whose looks and personality are as beautiful as snow.
So whenever I look sense a rain cloud at bay,
I know I can calm and not be afraid,
Because soon will come the colour Blue,
Who’s kindness and care makes my hearts love true.
